Er and you are an authority on what makes an artist Remi? Lets see now, putting media (paint, ink)to a surface (canvas/board), hanging that in a showspace (Gallery), getting people to see the work and discussing it.....I am finding it difficult to to see how he is any different in technical terms from you....Especially as you have been doing graff a similar but shorter amount of time - just an observation.

oh dear, oh dear, you have just underlined the fact that the Tox print has artistic merit, the print conceptually represents "getting up", art doesn't just have to be about aesthetics. I don't partularly want to get into a polarised debate about what constitutes art, however most would agree that there are some boundries that help the art become art, one of them is the "art" appearing in a gallery or the "artist" producing a work which stimulates some kind of reaction when experienced, there are several other criteria, what is not easily explainable is whether it is good art or bad art. And for the record getting up is not about whether your tag has drips or not, its about getting up.

He has a channel 4 documentary film crew following him! This is all one big joke. Why else would he start using stencils in his pieces?

What is this another spoof documentary, turning the table on us the unsuspecting public who buy street art? This was/is all orchestrated for the purposes of promoting himself, it is far from a piss-take, all it is, is about cashing in and he jumped in on the Banksy hype, like MBW has, and many others and it will be done again.

Reminds me of the day when someone said to me I looked like a horse, so i smacked him in the mouth, then a few days later, someone else said I looked like a horse, again I smacked him in the mouth. Next day, another person said I looked like a horse, so I went out and bought a saddle. (meaning Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice......etc)

In order for the gag to work, won't people have to buy some of the art though?

And even if that happens, it probably wouldn't be very funny as the joke has already been done with MBW and Banksy.
