This is such an old joke and there is even a test case that went to court with a Market trader using this name and being sued by Selfridges (for misrepresentation I think). The case is at least 20+ years ago, maybe team Robbo have only just cottoned on to it....

They approached us and wanted an exclusive interview with him. He was also featured in Time Magazine NY.

The friends and family have issued the following statement about poor Robbo. He remains very seriously ill, so please respect the feelings of the friends and family if responding.

This statement has been released by 'The King Robbo Trust'

As rumour, speculation and public comments regarding King Robbo circulate throughout the Art World and Graffiti grapevine, we would like to set the record straight by offering the following statement ;

On April 2nd 2011 King Robbo sustained a serious life threatening head injury just 5 days prior to his current exhibition, 'Team Robbo - The Sell Out Tour' at the Signal Gallery, Shoreditch, London.

As a result he has not been available for comment or interviews.
He was also unable to show all of his intended new works at the current exhibition.

He is now out of the intensive care unit and making small but steady progress.

This has been an extremely difficult time for his family and close friends and we would like their privacy to be respected in light of the current situation.

No one knows what happened. He was air lifted to the nearest brain injury unit about 4 weeks ago.

Thanks Charley.You can now ignore my FB question .This will def be one to head to London for {please let me know if the following info is wrong),it starts about 1pm on sunday and goes on till midnight and the auction is at 8pm .

The pieces sold so far have been Robbo's canvas' and prints... nothing else will be sold before Sunday but we're going to take silent bids on thursday friday and saturday and then the auction proper will be at Cargo on Sunday.. we've got John Nicholson of John Nicholson Fine Art Auctioneers who will be assisting with all preparation of the works for sale and will also be conducting the auction at 8.00pm on the night of the 4th Sept.



The preview of the auction opens Thursday evening at 6pm but some images of the work donated so far is up already because we want to get on it straight away… so far we have already raised abut £25,000 selling paintings and prints which is going towards Robbo and his family… he has a baby who is 1 year and 8 months old and other children and we’re trying to help the family out.

The guy is in a coma still, but he seems to be responding to some commands… anyone who has speculated about his injury and what actually happened to put him in hospital heres the scoop : He fell outside his house and hit his head really badly on some stone steps and he has been in hospital ever since.

We’re accepting silent bids on these pieces at the preview and then the auction proper is on Sunday at CARGO … all the silent bids will be the starting bids on the night….
