might try drop by Elms tomorrow, not had much luck in the past with timing etc, but would love to see these new pieces in situ.

Adam Neate "The Flock Series" Show, Elms Lesters, by aj2010 on Oct 20, 2010 3:41:36 GMT 1, While I admire the work Adam has put into these, I don't like the images themselves. I think they are ugly and wouldn't want them on my wall, even if I could afford them.

Adam Neate "The Flock Series" Show, Elms Lesters, by yapsey on Oct 20, 2010 14:37:50 GMT 1, these do look interesting. I must be honest though, I've not enjoyed adam's work as much over the past 2 odd years as i did before. I prefer his earlier large portraits without all the acrylics and plastics etc - i think these heavily collaged works overcomplicate the simplistic beauty of his portraits. His earlier flat work, such as the works below, are by far his best imho...

His earlier flat work, such as the works below, are by far his best imho... and I agree. He did a painting of St Pancras station which is in the St Pancras Grand restaurant. It is superb but I can't find reference of it. It is mentioned on their website. "The Restaurant is perfect for any dining occasion and is available for exclusive hire for seated or standing reception events. The Betjeman Room is a private space graced with an original Adam Neate painting of St Pancras station and is ideal for both private dining and business meetings."

Adam Neate "The Flock Series" Show, Elms Lesters, by Deleted on Oct 24, 2010 18:23:28 GMT 1, I love that Adam is experimenting and pushing his limits. There are many artists who carry on doing the same thing and get slagged off for it. Personally I love these new pieces of Adams and if there was any chance of me seeing them in the flesh I'd be there in a flash. Looks like I am going to have to settle for a book. I also love most of Adams older work and have many prints which I love. I'd love to own an original one day(actually I guess I do have two dedicated doodles on the last couple of show books). Maybe a more expensive original one day.

Adam Neate "The Flock Series" Show, Elms Lesters, by afroken on Oct 24, 2010 22:58:06 GMT 1, It's just more pictures of heads. He's clearly a very talented draftsman but the subject matter is beginning to ware a bit thin, in my opinion.

he's a portrait painter/sculpter. Can't see him straying to far away from that. well I hope he doesn't.

Adam Neate "The Flock Series" Show, Elms Lesters, by dotdot on Oct 25, 2010 8:30:36 GMT 1, I think you'll find it more than the dimensions and perspectives provided in photos.
I popped down last week and had a chat with both Fiona and Paul , both keen to discuss both the artist, the works and techniques used by Adam.
if you get the chance - make the trip.

Adam Neate "The Flock Series" Show, Elms Lesters, by skanky on Nov 2, 2010 21:00:24 GMT 1, Managed to get to get to see them before the end of the show and was simply blown away. The pictures do them no justice at all as there is no perspective of depth and more importantly light. These works are another step on the ladder to true greatness.
