I am quite new here, have been a lurker for some time now and finally joined and was approved to the community. I have a question regarding authenticating a signed sheet of the Di-faced tenners! 

I have a seller that is willing to make me a private sale on the signed Banksy tenner sheet for around 500 Gbp. However, I have read that PEST is not willing to authenticate signed Di-faced tenners in order to not incriminate himself for printing false money. 

The sellers story is as follows: 


When Banksy commissioned these tenners to be printed, the process meant proofing the plates to ensure the correct alignment, this trial took 34 attempts to perfect, meaning 34 proof sheets which usually gets discarded.
Having heard of this guy (Banksy), the staff asked if it was possible to keep the proofs, it is reported that Banksy himself authorised them as a keep sake/thank you, for their secrecy and trusted co-operation, it is not clear if all 34 were signed or just a select few you are bidding for a SIGNED one.
It is also worth remembering that each one is unique, has no two proofs are the same in terms of alignment, although some are very close to perfection for the plates to be print worthy.
See photo No3 to view the imperfection, this is proven that this sheet is lithograph printing.


My question is, has anyone experience authenticating one of these, heard of anyone that has managed to do so or know of the existance and validity of the single Di-faced tenners that were signed as he owns a few of these too?

Thanks for the advice, that is mostly what i read about the tenners as well!

Any luck here maybe with someone that knows about the actual existance of these? Just so I know that there are a few around?

For the avoidance of doubt - there is nothing to top you contacting pest control and seeking advice.

They are not adverse to queries of this nature.

Have you contacted them ?

If not do so and feel free to advise all others once they provide you with feedback.

In the meantime advise your seller of your approach and let us know of the response.

the full sheets of di-faced tenners were released in two editions - a regular edition of 50, and an AP edition of 32, all of which were stamped, numbered and signed.

anything that doesn't meet these specs is fake.

Thanks for all the feedback, the sellers says it's part of the 32! So I need to contact the seller for the stamp and number? Do you know where it is located on the print by any chance? So if there is a stamp, number and signature, there is a larger chance it is not a counterfeit, or as real as it gets without the POW/PEST COA?

you said 34 in your first post.

am i correct in assuming the seller is danish?
