Economic factors will kick in, lot's of people have saved a lot of money, low interest rates have meant most with mortgages have been enjoying saving's of £300-600 a month for a couple of years now. Inflation in the UK is high, they hope VAT will slow that down when it rises, up to 20%. (EDIT WRONG MATHS) people get used to change, then inflation starts rising again, interest rates go up and bang goes the savings on the variable rate, so they fix it again and there goes th £300-600 a month.

Then suddenly they won't be so keen and buyer demand drops, all the time those holding these prints experience the same pricing pressures. 2011 in all markets, not just art, will be very rocky indeed.

interesting macro economics there, but im not sure i completely agree. If you are going to talk macro, then you need to consider a lot more factors than just inflation, mortgage rates and fiscal policies

how about a more simple view on the whole issue. One fact people cannot argue with is that this is about supply and demand. And how about this - you get two people who buy prints, those who like them and want to collect them, and those who want to make money off them and flip them. After every banksy release you get the tide of flipped prints with people who automatically want to sell them. They go to the collectors who want to keep them. After that round of transactions goes through you are left with most prints in the hands of people who want to collect and keep them. That means that you have a situation where the only time prints are sold is when people need the cash or get sick of the print. And as per the other past prints goes, that means that there is only a slow trickle of prints that come up for sale every now and again.

so to put it in context of cyw, my analysis is that the chances of getting one now are at the highest. the chances of getting one after jan will get harder and harder as every day passes. And the chances of getting one post feb in your first choice colour will become near impossible. Im not in the market for buying one, but if i was, Id get one now.....

Agreed, where's the blues / reds that were in the lottery? I don't see many of these being being 'won' on here, sold on ebay and so on....?

I agree. No doubt some people out there are willing to pay 4-5k for it, just because money is not an issue for them, but most of the 4k offers up here (the "logical" business man included) do not seem genuine.

It seems that some flippers are too greedy. Not even content with 2.5k profit and keep somehow pushing the price up (shill bidding?) and accidentally winning their own auctions, hence the relisting.

I can’t be bothered with hanging around for delivery, or worse still having to go to the local sorting office if I miss the post. Then it’s all the added hassle of selling on the Banksy forum, or possibly ebay, shill bidding, emails, paypal, the list is endless. Therefore can we just cut through all of this?

If I find a 2nd buyer, can you just sell to them directly for say £3k, then cut me a cheque for the balance?

I heard about the queue and entered the lottery but didn’t win so I feel owed. Therefore I would like one of the queue jumping greys please.

English Men: I was on the queue with my Son, Brother in low and fried from work, my wife couldn’t make it because is in the Hospital having the 2nd baby, so next year I planning to bring hem to queue. JA, JA
