Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Sundowner on Jan 7, 2011 19:45:04 GMT 1, Gold one is lush, not so sure about silver. please dont use the word 'LUSH' if your a male. it is just wrong.
Almost as wrong as thinking you're the embodiment of cool by having a global rap superstar as your avatar when you're actually a skinny white boy who was probably bullied at public school.

Maybe... but would never use the word 'LUSH'

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by colinfishwick on Jan 7, 2011 20:27:41 GMT 1, Why wouldnt he sign his own name then ? or are you just being stupid ? (again) I doubt very much Banksy signs his own name anymore, why else a change from his actual "joined up" signature to this more stylised signature that pretty much anyone can copy. And at the height of the forgery issue. If anything, you'd think his signature would get less legible the quicker he wrote.. this obviously takes much longer to write, doesn't make sense unless it was devised so others could write it. No big deal either way..but it is one of the reasons I prefer the earlier prints.
this is so laughable it's untrue, many early Banksy prints were not even signed by Banksy!

The queue did not force anything, they were going to release them the next day anyway, they just planned to send the email out early on the sat to stop overnight queues. The only thing it forced is people the queue over night again with no security of planning for a night queue.

Claiming that artists dont sign their prints.
Such a silly comment.
True some may just give an image to be made into a print then leave it to someone else, but at the end of the day all artists sign their output.
Hirst signs his stuff, but certainly gets other people to carry through to that stage from concept. Theres not even a discussion here to be honest, as there is no proof what so ever of it being otherwise.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Jan 8, 2011 4:55:27 GMT 1, I think he does sign his own but some artists dont!! I posted this back in November
www.savill.com.au/artist_jeffreysmart.html
His og's go for 100's of thousands. I love his work, BUT.... I went to the Sydney Art Fair last night (some great work there, huge show) with the intent to buy one of his prints.. worked out 600 pounds for 999ed. I started aksing questions, apart from the paper looking thin/cheap, I then found out all his signatures are 'lazer copied on by a very expensive machine' (words from the gallery guy).. I told the guy how lazy is that?? tell him to get off his arse in Turin and start signing them!! the guy said Jeff's 89 yrs old... I didnt buy one, kind of gutted.. am i being harsh??

At 89 years old, chances are he will pop his clogs soon enough and his signed work will be worth much more. Hows that for harsh!
