As ever, it's all down to personal taste but this is without doubt, one of my favourite pieces. An image that will stand the test of time, as will AFD. I totally agree with CBL, it's a great time to buy Mantis' work, if of course you like it.

Give it time an most of those shell prints will be selling for peanuts, once the hype has dies down and people realise what a poor print it is.
Touch wood there will be a few bargains to be had over the next few months once the interest rates start to soar and house prices start to drop and so on.......

Not the real dinars matey. The reclamation of stolen iraqi money by a us soldier into anti war street art was a beautiful example of this art movement and those prints will always be highly sought after. Of course the other prints that were just copies, just kind of missed the point.

Yeah i am with you on the 40 edition as firstly they have a story and secondly it is a superior quality print and was nicely executed.
The 125 however IMO looks shabby in comparison, be it with the shell logo and then the drips! Quite shocking. But it was no doubt re worked for the 125 edition to jump onto the hype from the previous releases, to fill the demand this forum had created again due to overhype and to make a dice bit of dough for the found show!

I don't understand that attitude to be honest. With all due respect I think thats taking the anti flipping sentiment one step into the never never world of LA LA land. You must have money to burn. Why don't you just buy a replica if thats the case?

But these Mantis prints (and lots of others that 'we' tend to buy) are around the ยฃ100 mark from source, even if they're only worth ยฃ50 in the future that really doesn't matter if you weren't going to sell, and wouldn't really hurt if you only got half your money back if you did sell in the future as at least you'd of had the enjoyment out of them for that time.
