I think this is a great image. The wax stamped AP looked fantastic up at Found.
Without wanting to get all arty-farty - rubbing my chin - vic reeves ponderer stylee, cos that just ain't me...I really like it. At surface level, just as with the original image explaining Darwin's theory, I really like Mantis' take for it's subtlety and simplicity. It's all in that knife and subsequent regression.
On a deeper level I see it as a warning for the future as well as a reflection of what man is doing to himself. The way we as a species appear to be evolving into some sort of suicidal time-bomb. The concept that we today need to consider what we are doing to not only our own futures but also the futures of our children.
Of course an alternative could be that the last fella in line is clockwork and the one behind is is merely just winding him back up again so he can have get a bath and have a shave.
I'd be interested to know of any other alternative interpretations.
