But what makes people like it when Banksy does it, i think has good to be down to the execution and he seems to always go for it and dont hold back, the size of the pee up the wall is huge,

The Light Group rep tells us, "We're extremely pissed ... It's our billboard that got tagged .. it's not their billboard ... CBS clearly has ZERO appreciation for art!!!"
The rep added some parting praise for the Academy Award nominated artist, "We were flattered Banksy tagged on our ad -- it was epic."
The Light Group was told it will be allowed to keep the work of art -- so far, no word on what it plans to do with it.

Pick of the bunch for me So I was right it is a tarp or rubber/canvas wrap around  No doubt painted (badly) in a LA studio and installed by 'The team'! I think you can confidently say this was sold before it even went up and that Banksy did not even set on foot on that billboard platform! With that said I think it also belittles the 'artists' who have risked life, limb and freedom whilst liberating or subverting 1000's of these across the US for years
Yep... I was sadly wrong, and this changes anything that may have been good about the piece. Painted in studio, hung then pulled to look like it was an illegal work. That leaves the crayon boy as the only half decent pick out of all 5

its prob already been said, but theres no way that was done overnight or anything, thats taken a while by the looks of it and then put up on the billboard professionally. It might even be a duplicate ad.. who knows but they would have been easily spotted up there by the looks of it.
Especially hitting over the road from the Oscars office.
At the end of the day, he is promoting his film about Mr Brainwash - so he cant hate what mbw does that much, otherwise he would not bother promoting it. Its a weird scenario/clash/not a clash of interests going on.

My point is he never 'took' the spot old skool style, someone paid for it to be there. I bet if anyone can find an image of that billboard a day before the piece went up, you will see the artwork was hung at the same time as the banner.... meaning it was painted in a cosy studio somewhere else
