There's supposed to be an edition of 'x' but in reality maybe half of these survive? Half of the surviving are fooked and so on.
Do pest control authenticate these as my understanding is that in the early days their admin / audit trail wasn't as robust as it could have been....?
I'd love one but well out of my reach, this and Laugh Now....

I want to be 100% upfront regarding this piece - a lot of people of course regularly chk ebay listings and this was the one that was listed around 4 months or so ago.
It has a PC cert which says " not in the condition it was originally sold " - this is because the print was immediately " stuck " onto a piece of card and is not coming off !!!
Aside from the fact it is on the card the print is perfect and bearing in mind the age of these now is one of the best examples I have seen.
I have had it framed at great expense by Gary with museum glass etc.
Frankly , I think it looks the " nuts " but I understand there are differing views about the fact it is stuck onto card - one school of thought is that it will overtime suddenly " disintegrate " but bearing in mind the framing etc and I have spoken to two independent print restorers who say this is a fantasy.

I have looked at a lot of these & many do tend to be in poor condition now, due to the thin paper stock & the fact they were sold for a low price when released, they were pinned & stuck to walls with tape. good ones are difficult to track down. Cracking Banksy image !

The last one on ebay was up for £12K and is not listed anymore so I assume it sold but also assume nowhere near the asking price ?
This one has a VERY expensive frame job but I also appreciate there is the issue with the card so if anyone doesn't like the way I have framed it then that could be an issue.
These are the facts and I would welcome cash offers or trades with cash either way - my preference would be for me to add cash.

Banksy • Rude Copper Print • 2003, by skitchy on Aug 3, 2013 18:41:03 GMT 1, Think I commented on this print when it was being discussed on here a few months back and I dont want to de-rail your sale thread - but I would go as far to say that a dry-mounted print would IMO struggle to make anymore than 50% of the Mint value.
That said having dabbled in antique prints/etchings in the past - I know for a fact that dry mounting can be reversed by 'dipping' (soaking) it in the correct solution (don't ask me what) and leaving it to dry but this has its risks!

I strongly disagree with your view in that if someone wants to hang this on the wall and admire it then the card is largely irrelevant and also the fact that both auction houses I spoke to are happy to take it also speaks volumes.
In terms of how it is on the board in all honesty I don't know BUT I am sure with the " wonders of modern technology " (!!!) etc if you really wanted to get it off they could but I wanted to go the other route and expensively frame it as it was and as I said before the condition of the print really is superb and I think it looks great - but I'm biased !!!!
