I also am interested in this but given the fact I've made a few offers recently I would like to know expectations prior to deciding if to make an offer or not.

Thanks for the pleasant messages....if i'm honest I didn't expect the amount of PM's I've got, or the amount of pleasant replies on thread. I expected to be torn to pieces on quoting the price check, and on the damage.
So, as much as £7-8k did seem high to me, no one has disagreed.
I'm thinking those prices are for mint. Clearly this one isn't....so I think 25% below that price would reflect the damage.
So on £7.5k with 25% off that is £5,625....
By all means, please let me know if that's way off expectations. If however, that seems fair, please PM me.
I'm based in Glasgow. And as stated I'm happy to take along to framers, unframed and take high resolutions pics, and have measuring tape to give exact sizes of water markings, which I can mail to anyone interested.
Unless someone can tell me how I can upload direct from phone on the mobile app/site?

John switch to desktop version at the bottom of the page on your phone screen, post a response on this thread and you get the option to attach an image and do so direct from ur phone. Then switchback to mobile version.

Thanks to you and a couple of other guys who reached out and advised contacting Graham.
I called Graham today and have sent him pics and he believes he can restore the print to it's former glory!
Quite amazing really. I'm waiting on more info from Graham tomorrow as to exactly what he believes can be done, price, time scale etc.
Once I have that info I will update and let you know.
Again, thanks guys for the truly helpful advice. I hadn't really considered restoration, I just accepted it was what it was.
There are a lot of good guys on this site!

to be honest I'm only testing the water tonight, never intended to sell them intitially, but if I do decide to sell the Flags print would have to go first.

Thats what I though on the napalm but after looking and asking about gallery’s it seems it can be picked up pretty cheap. Reason I was looking as I was gonna sell one myself.

I am/was in the market for a Flying Copper. The competitive galleries are quoting an initial ask of around 9000 GBP. New art online had one listed on eBay for 8900 GBP OBO. Julien's had a signed edition in their May auction with estimated value of 15K-20K USD, which was bought in/not sold. Bonhams sold an unsigned in Dec 2016 for 6K USD + Premium. Forums had a sale on the same day of an unsigned for 8,750 GBP + Premium. |
