Banksy โข Napalm Print, by nowayjose on Jun 18, 2016 8:51:11 GMT 1, I'm selling my unsigned Napalm by Banksy with COA and the print is registered in my name โจI bought this framed and stuck it straight on the wall until I found the time to get it reframed. When I unframed It i discovered it was actually held in place using masking tape, about 3mm around the whole print! no tape was used on the back! I carefully peeled it off and the left, right and bottom came off fine but sadly the top of the print suffered some fibre loss, if you look you can see it clearly,in one area particularly, I've taken pictures and if you have a look at the whole print you'll see it isn't horrendous Also the last picture before the COA is trying to capture the tape damage in the 3rd & 4th photo ,it can be repaired or framed easily to hide the small damage โจ Any questions please message me, forum references are available! I'm lucky enough to have a holiday arranged from the 22nd and not back until 3rd July but I will post promptly on my return! .Thanks

Banksy โข Napalm Print, by pinkerton on Jun 18, 2016 9:37:57 GMT 1, singo369 sorry to hear about your print and if you don't mind I'd like to use your sales post as a reminder to all of two very important things to remember. 1) ALWAYS have your framed art de-framed and inspected before purchase or at the very least do it yourself immediately after purchase with the agreement if there is any undisclosed damage it can be returned (only if the seller is reputable and trusted). In my experience over the years I'd say close to 75% of framed B pieces had mounting issues that could only be seen when removed and 95% on the reverse and looked perfect framed. Some were even spray mounted and basically worthless but bought for full price to an unfortunate buyer. 2) Upon discovery of damage, especially adhesive issues, NEVER try to remove it yourself and take to a reputable restoration house. Not all adhesive issues are fully repairable but many can be safely removed with proper moisture and solvent application that only a specialized expert should do. Good luck w the sale and hopefully something positive can come out of this to prevent others from ending up with a similar situation.
I am not saying you are wrong, but its quite funny that something is worthless if it can only look good framed on the wall, but not stored in an acid free sleeve under your bed...

Banksy โข Napalm Print, by djvlnt on Jun 18, 2016 16:02:30 GMT 1, It's is the new world of collectors that care this much about scratches, tape marks an so on.a few years back, focus wasn't like this. And look at the Warholds results at auction, the damage has to be really bad for having any affect on the end price. Like totally faded colours because of sun or so.
I wonder why people suddenly care that much about condition. I'm Not judging anyone, because they are just a part of the market, but could it be because the new world of collectors arent the same as the ones buying the Warholds so we have determinate our own conditions? Because we started collecting back when we did not have any cash and a Banksy did cost 75ยฃ and now we suddenly have bigger pay checks and really expensive art? Or because some people wants to make a bargain?

Banksy โข Napalm Print, by beefstockcube on Nov 10, 2016 9:50:03 GMT 1, Finally ticked over the post count!!
Anyways the wife will not allow these on the wall happy to get them away before December.
Both professionally framed, wife went mental, then wrapped in packing bags and popped in the cupboard.
I'm happy to take offers at the minute, if that doesnt work out I'll do some more looking and price them.
I'll get some photo's up later tomorrow, both in perfect condition as far as I can see - no discouleration, fold's bends etc.
I'm not based in the UK anymore but I can arrange face to face in London or Glasgow if thats how you would like things to go down.
Cheers

Banksy โข Napalm Print, by bdr79 on Aug 20, 2017 18:15:41 GMT 1, Good afternoon all,
This is my first ever piece of art I've ever considered selling. I have many people on the forum I have bought from, but never actually sold anything myself. So, hoping if someone is interested those I have dealt with in the past would confirm I'm pretty decent guy to do business with.
It's a reluctant sale, but with so much art I'm needing to have a 'walk-in' storage closet built! I have about 150 pieces. On top of that I'm having to scrap my car as the cost to import is not worth the hassle. A friend has offered me his car at a reasonable price so need to raise some funds to put towards these 2 projects.
Napalm was the first Banksy print I ever bought, genuinely love it, and whilst the Mrs also appreciates it, the kids are now seeing past Mickey and Ronald and asking awkward questions why the little girl is crying!
I'm gonna provide as many pics as possible, and to be totally transparent, this print is not 'mint'!
I purchased from the original owner and it was in the original Art Republic frame (the little silver metal one, with weird stubby screws). Anyway, at some point damp/water has gotten into the frame.
On the front top left, there is an approx 1cm water mark (which is framed out). The back of the print however has a larger water stain which from memory is about 10cms long and 6cms deep. The original owner seemed genuinely surprised when I took collection of the print and removed from the frame, and tbf to him he offered a full refund. But in the end I decided to keep as I loved the image, was happy with the price paid, knew the damage would frame out and just wanted to put on the wall and enjoy.
I have had it reframed from when I bought it. Framed now to full conservation standards with museum 'TruVue' glass. And it has been hung out of direct sunlight/smoke free etc ever since.
Size including frame is 95cms by 75.5cms. The cost of framing this was ยฃ400. I lived in the Channel Islands at the time and used a local framer, who is fantastic at what he does. A real student of all framing techniques, and frames many high value works of art. Any interested parties could choose whether they want frame or not.
I haven't opened the current framing, as I know many people on here are only interested in 'mint', and if thats the case I am genuinely happy to keep. But if anyone is keen I can take along to a reputable framers and have opened and take fuller/higher resolution pictures than those provided. The pictures with the damage were taken when bought which would have been beginning 2014.
I asked recently on the price check how much an U/S Napalm was considered worth and the only response I received was "ยฃ7-8k, more if buy from a gallery and less if selling to a gallery". This was more than I expected. There is also one on a well known auction site for ยฃ8.5k. Which hasn't sold at that price.
And clearly my print is damaged too.
So with that all said and done, and appreciating anyone who has taken the time to read such a lengthy price check/sale thread. Pictures are provided below, and I welcome any responses and what you may think this is worth.
Apologies about the picture quality. I'm afraid these are screenshots as i no longer have the original iPhone i took the pics with. So it is screenshots I uploaded at the time to email to the previous owner.
Full P/C COA in my name.
Thanks

That being said, I'm interested depending on price. Even with damage. So I should stay out of the price discussions for fairness
