Banksy • Barcode Print, by Deleted on Oct 7, 2014 15:01:29 GMT 1, nice opportunity to get a great print for a decent price then? It looks stunning with black mount so you'll have years of enjoyment anyway :-). In a situation where you can choose between a mint and one with the issues, of course everybody want the mint one. But that situation seems to be rarer nowadays. since when??

edit: I'll add that I've purchased a backdoor from him and if this one came from the same source as the one I've got, then there's a good chance it's legit

Banksy • Barcode Print, by Poster Bob on Oct 10, 2014 14:44:37 GMT 1, I have seen a number of PPs pop up lately which makes me highly suspicious but I won't accuse anyone of anything. The ones I've seen recently are Golf Sale, Flying Copper, Turf War, Barcode and Pulp Fiction. In my opinion there are too many of them about at the moment.

The ones I've seen recently are Golf Sale, Flying Copper, Turf War, Barcode and Pulp Fiction. In my opinion there are too many of them about at the moment. I think those were all from the same seller? BirthdayParty or something similar? I almost bid on one then realized they had sold multiples of each. red flag I've purchased things from mikehaspey and have always been really happy with what I purchased. Hopefully he'll post here and let us know the story I have seen some for sale on legit art websites. By legit I mean so trustworthy in my opinion that I have purchased several unsigned Banksy prints from them without COAs and all were authentic. What I'm pointing out is that there are too many PPs out at the moment. PPs are far rarer than even the signed prints, so to see a couple of the same print about at the same time is a glaring red flag that something fishy is going on. I suspect that someone went and printed some fakes and sold them to unsuspecting individuals but again, in no way am I trying to accuse anyone.

Banksy • Barcode Print, by mikehaspey on Oct 10, 2014 16:00:40 GMT 1, First post on here in a long time, only popped in for minutes at a time over the last couple of months! But yeah, good timing, this is indeed my print up for sale. Fed, it did indeed come from the same source as yours, I'm not going to go into where it came from on here but it's certainly a trusted source. No idea about the paper type or the reason it's centered rather than offset to the left, I'm guessing it's a test print or similar. I'm going to be moving on a few things so I thought ebay was the best place for this with a low start and just see where it goes. To anyone thinking I made it myself or anything like that, I struggle to print off a sheet from a computer so certainly not the case

Banksy • Barcode Print, by telecine on Oct 10, 2014 22:43:32 GMT 1, Not wanting to piss in anyones pool, but to my eye there is less spray detail / speckles in that listed ebay 'proof' than the released print (I own one) or the beautiful small proof version (I don't own one)...
Also the Arches 88 paper is inconsistant with prints of that vintage .
I have (and love) a LOT of backdoor prints as well as the real PC certed deals, so I'm not one of those clueless FAKE FAKE FAKE bores on here...protecting their investments ;-).
Maybe like the early proof VLHs, extra spray was added later on the final release, but I'm not so sure about this one.... Just feels a bit odd.

Banksy • Barcode Print, by mouser on Oct 10, 2014 23:28:42 GMT 1, To play the devils advocate here, the spray levels do look very similar to Craigs one though ( compared the pics from Mike's ebay ad to the pics of craigs on this thread, nothing more scientific than that).
I have bought a couple pieces from Mike in the past also, always been good to deal with,he has a nice collection of oddities ( stickers posters etc) and know he has been hunting backdoors for a while.
As for the BC, i couldnt say one way or another, and as ever, it is what it is and only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. An argument we have all heard and had a hundred times before. Then again, it looks like its sold as the ebay ad is done, so most likely wasting my breath
Good to see you back Mike, The grannies say hello
Now, if anyone wants to sell a backdoor gold LIITA, give me a shout!

Banksy • Barcode Print, by mikehaspey on Oct 11, 2014 9:10:25 GMT 1, It sold off ebay, I can assure any doubters that it wasn't a fake, the source of the print was bombproof. As I mentioned earlier it's likely that it was a test piece, the spray is very similar to the released version but closer to the AP. Also the different paper type of course. I've had many backdoor prints and wouldn't buy from anywhere other than my trusted sources and certainly wouldn't sell on here or ebay if there was any doubt. As Mouser said, it's what it is and it's worth what someone is willing to pay
