I would continue with your advice from 14 years ago, treat it as pop art that will be worthless. Its not going the way of your eighties artists, but you could cash in richly now and either be thankful or regretful in the future. 

By holding, if it slides back down you'll still makes $$$ on the original investments, if it goes up then even better.

I know there are a lot of people here that have more money than I could ever hope to have, so I'll give the the perspective of someone who is well off but by no means rich.

I'd sell.

I love Banksy, and it would be a dream to have a print up on the wall. But there are more important things in life, financial security being a huge one. I'd look at it as reaching a life changing sum on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. At the moment, if you take the money, you're going to be able to do some amazing things with it. Yeah, you won't have the art, but in my opinion what you gain is worth a lot more. You could hold on and try to get to the million pound question, but you have to be really sure you know the answer, otherwise you could walk away with a lot less than you might have had. If we were talking about £5k or so then no way would I be selling, because to me that's not a life changing amount of money. To some people it is. Conversely, I can guarantee that there are people on the forum for whom £200k isn't life changing, so they wouldn't sell.

If it were me, I'd be looking at what I could do with the money now. £200k would mean no mortgage. Would I regret selling if it later hit £2m? Of course. But I'd be regretting it in my unmortgaged house. Your appetite for risk is the main thing here. I'd have sold out a long way before £200k if I'm honest.

Like all advice here, take this with a pinch of salt, as it's my opinion only, and I know shit. Go speak to a financial adviser.

I like this suggestion as a starting point. With any other investment I’d suggest asking, “would I buy these now at current prices?”  If the answer is “no”—either because you wouldn’t care to put that much money into art, or because current prices seem crazy—then you should not be holding at the same prices. Hope is not an investment strategy.

If you could secure your financial future with a few sales, you’d be crazy not to. Yes, prices could go up further, but you’ll be comfortably fed and sheltered while you regret your timing. If FOMO is too strong, hold onto a few pieces after selling enough to secure yourself. 

Finally, if the cost of properly insuring art ever gets uncomfortable, that would be a clear signal to sell.

Banksy any day of the week as an investment over Tesla at $650bn market cap when has 10% the revenue of Volkswagen. The world is nuts, too much liquidity / cash. Can argue all day and night whether it is fair banksy gets such a premium over other street artists but people like his work and think it will stay in demand, I agree

Really? That’s surprising. Had a friend that worked there years ago, at their last location, before the move to NY. Their prices have always been outrageous; even she admitted it😆. That being said, I’m sure deals are to be had if the timing is right👍🏻.
