The £50 Art Thread, by notitle on Sept 27, 2007 17:27:58 GMT 1, hey everyone. not a print but i thought some of you might be interested.
Damien Hirst & Gordon Burn's 'On The Way to Work' - Hardback book
In all good poundland stores for... you guessed it £1.
I know it's only £8 on Amazon, still for £1 it's a good bathroom read.

The £50 Art Thread, by 33pm on Oct 2, 2007 2:15:28 GMT 1, Yeah, the works of Brian Jones are under-rated, but as more and more people see 'em, this is changing. Here's a quick update on his activities.
Growing market in original works, with pieces selling recently to Russian businessmen amongst others.
Some originals are currently at Tom Tom (London) and O Contemporary (Brighton), plus the AAF (Oct), the LAF (Jan), works off to Hollywood (Feb); working on new body of paintings for a solo show at O Contemporary (Mar), new editions and a book to be published (May).... I could continue the hype, but that's not his style.
He just gets on with things quietly, producing some of the most witty and monolithic New Pop art in Britain. Sssshh, don't tell anyone.

The £50 Art Thread, by holden on Oct 2, 2007 2:31:34 GMT 1, Have a feeling that these prints are around the 50 quid mark....he'll need an email to confirm. Bought a couple recently, framed for just over a 100. Small runs of 20. "you are what you hate" IMO is powerful. Some interesting stuff, if you like that sort of thing....sex and war, always a winner, with a different twist.

The £50 Art Thread, by endtimes on Oct 11, 2007 2:31:26 GMT 1, Pole Position print by CORY ARCHANGEL $40 usd www.beigerecords.com/cory/Store/
Cory is very entertaining and funny in person in the chance he's doing any dj events or live shows. He's shown at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Deitch, etc.
He aso has a show coming up in London...
Max Wigram Gallery Ridley Road, London Cory Arcangel (beige) 6 Oct - 16 Dec 2007 Max Wigram Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by New York-based artist Cory Arcangel. Creative "hacking" is what Arcangel is, perhaps, most renowned for. From Mario Brothers to Pope John Paul II, and the Beatles to the pop Indie film Dazed and Confused - Arcangel co-opts popular media and culture, manipulating these "new" platforms and media to subvert his subjects to the expectant whims of a growing audience of (often irreverent) Internet and media-savvy consumers.

The £50 Art Thread, by sputnikeye on Oct 15, 2007 13:44:56 GMT 1, I've mentioned this site before but it is too good not to mention it again. I've bought quite a few books from them and they have all been top class. I've now just ordered a print from them for the first time so I'm looking forward to it. They are not street art but it's great if you like your art a bit twisted and are into outsider/art brut check it out if you haven't already. www.lederniercri.org
