Yep, I spotted that - quantum physicist, composer, and artist!
I have to say, if I was going to have a portrait done, I would love one done by this chap!

I did some research before, there is a well written article on wikipedia.

As you can read on the article the very first color photo was made by James Clerk Maxwell in 1861, using the three-picture process as well.
