Banksy signed now the only option..., by dmandpenfold on Dec 17, 2008 14:51:12 GMT 1, just because a print is signed, doesnt make it any less easier to fake, that being used as the basis for only releasing signed seems a wild stab in the dark.
I know one person who has a signed print bought a few years ago, this has subsequently turned out to be fake yet has some very good provenance and that's from the time when Banksy flipping was probably just kicking off in a bigger way.
I've mentioned it before but what makes people think that a PC COA cant be faked when clearly just about everything else can be

The CoA has a torn Di Faced tenner with a string of characters written on it. Pest Control hold the other half, right?

From memory, I think it's just the Banksy stamps, but I may be wrong.

Banksy signed now the only option..., by pezlow on Dec 17, 2008 15:22:30 GMT 1, As far as the LA prints are concerned I wasn't aware of any at the show being signed. I thought that there were 100 released from the edition of 500 all unsigned - $500 each.
If there were signed prints released at the LA show then that is news to me. Does anyone have any CONCRETE information, rather than speculation or guesswork?
There were also some printers proofs floating around I think from an edition of 6. Can't recall whether they were signed or not.

Hence my surprise when i saw the signature, perhaps it was an PP

If i remember correctly it was just the printers proofs that had been signed. Im sure someone with a better memory will be able to confirm or deny this.

Banksy signed now the only option..., by Happy Shopper on Dec 17, 2008 16:23:31 GMT 1, I saw something on ebay the other day. A signed L.A (Barely Legal) flyer! Apparently handed to the first few through the door. Sound dodgy? Anyone heard of this before?

hey pez. there were a few signed sets and they were printer proofs and were stamped with a poodle (the LA printers blind stamp) some of those sets have probably broken up and sold on individually. i remember a guy on the ebay forum lukeandsuzy? who flew over to the LA show with his missus and secured two sets and was promptly banned by laz for selling a set along with a few originals when he returned.
