Judgement Day, by bobbyt23 on Jul 10, 2007 13:38:16 GMT 1, This is the one print I desperately want to own. Dont think I'll be able to afford one now.
Will have to look towards a trade now I think.

Judgement Day, by tokyojeff on Jul 10, 2007 13:57:34 GMT 1, Mr. H, we are on the same page. I am infamous for using the BIN for items others think are overpriced. I recently purchased the DOLK GWT from a forum member for a huge premium but once I saw it I had to have it. If you like it and it makes you happy what more could you ask for ?? I was lucky enough to get in early this year on the Micallefs and am shocked at recent price moves but wouldn`t part with any of them for any price. And that elusive Girl in the Red Dress would be a real gem to get a hold of, at any price.

Hope you are good.
At the end of the day if you love it, can afford it, then all the best. Enjoy.
Mine is is next in line to be framed, if you're looking for framing inspiration check out Crackawacka's. It's IMO the best JD framing i've come across, it's awesome. And I will be asking my framer to do exactly the same.

That's an amazing framing job +1 without a doubt - I love the ornate inner mount
I'll be visiting the framers a.s.a.p. so I'll be adding mine to thread soon ;D

Judgement Day, by jonpud on Jul 10, 2007 14:53:44 GMT 1, I am with Misteraitch all the way, if you love something enough then do it before you regret it. IMO JD has been sooo underrated, I wasn't fortunate to buy one from Santa's ghetto and so turned to the Evil that is Ebay. I bought my first copy for ยฃ550 but a couple of days later a seller advertised #11/500 for ยฃ695. I didn't hesitate and snatched his hand off! At the time that was considered over priced!
So what would it be worth now? It might as well be #1/500 cuz us mere mortals will never see 1-10 available as they are all held by the shareholders and owners of POW.
I am shite with computers but once I know how I will load some pics of mine framed up for all to see. She's effing gorgeous!!!!!

Judgement Day, by danvnuk on Jul 10, 2007 16:18:49 GMT 1, I got mine from Santas Ghetto - but purely by luck, persistence and my Lucky 8 Ball saying "Yes" that morning.
Y'see - I strolled down to Santas Ghetto from work aiming on getting a JD, I get there - its a wasteland - no queue - no one inside - A JD stuck to the window....one of the POW staff standing at the door like a bouncer.
I go to walk in, he says "We're closed"
I say - "Im after a Antony Micallef Judgement Day"
He Says "We're sold out, they all went earlier - only way you'll get on now is on E-Bay"
I say "Bugger"
Sooo, I had to go and see a man about a dog in Soho and commenced with this other business but on the way back think 'I wonder if POW will release some more on the interweb - I'll go and ask'
So Im back at SG, and theres a queue.
I stroll to the front and say "So thats it? No JD's? All gone?"
He replies "If I told you otherwise, and this lot heard <gesturing at the queue forming outside> they'd be a riot, lets just say there might be some more available"
So - not having to be told twice - I get to the back of the queue which seems to consist of tourists and people saying "What is this queue for? do I want to be in it?"
A POW guy comes out and wanders down the queue chatting to random people in the queue - he's talking quietly - I cant make out what he's saying....
He comes towards me and mutters through the side of his mouth...his lips not even moving...."You wanted an Antony Micallef?"
"Yes" "Follow me"
He promptly lead me into an empty Santas Ghetto and sold me one.
No idea what that was all about - but I got one - and thats what matters ;D

lol - yeah I know - not only did I get what I wanted, I also got a great anecdote to go with the print.
(Oh to answer you question, I was laughing hysterically as I crossed the threshold from SG into Oxford Street, and I sacrificed some small mammals to the art gods when I (+ Tube) got back to my office....although small mammals are hard to come by in Clerkenwell so it was probably someones pets ;D)

lol - No Kids yet jonpud - But a growing collection of nieces and nephews though.
Yes, they all love my Santas Ghetto story....
But on the flip side.... When they've been bad.....
I tell them horror stories about Stolenspace....queueing for a D-Face Fools Gold for 3 Hours, the shock and madness when the free beers ran out, and the utter crushing defeat when the prints ran out when I was metres away from the ickle window.

Judgement Day, by alvington89 on Jul 10, 2007 16:56:44 GMT 1, I was lucky enough to get both FF and JD from the ghetto. Took some doing I can tell you as I live in South Leics. With JD the train gods were smiling. I'm not kidding when I say from from South Leics to SG on Oxford St took 1 hour 20 mins! When I walked in to SG there was no queue but the instant I asked a line of people formed behind me (I think I got one of the last ones - Excluding the 'back of the sofa' ones that POW found and put on the site after Christmas.
Alot has changed in 3 weeks!

Judgement Day, by jonpud on Jul 10, 2007 17:12:19 GMT 1, Sadly I travelled from Peterborough to SG to get a JD, on arrival I was told all sold, the ones they sold after xmas online just rubbed salt in the wounds!
Got it now, paid a fair aftermarket price, it would just be sooooo nice to have the pleasure of buying just one print direct from source for a change!
Three more hopes left on the Banksy's I suppose! one of them being Bob!

Do you believe that the number 13 is unlucky, and its appearance in your life is a bad omen? Do you feel like the 7th or 11th day in the month is a "good day," one where something lucky is going to happen? If so, you'd probably make a good member of the low number print club. Membership allows you to obsess over something totally and completely meaningless.
A numbered run means each print is created exactly alike. If a run is handmade, then there might be a few oddities in the bunch, but they don't bear any particular number. APs and PPs are debatable, but generally worth more because they can be rare variants (doesn't happen often these days). But why the hell anybody would pay more for a low number is beyond me.

Be thankfull you have a limited edition print, dont start fussin over numbers. :-(
