Any New York lawyers on the forum or any contacts , by Poppy Sunshine on Nov 17, 2008 10:18:40 GMT 1, The forum seems to have a tradition of being able to solve any problem whatsoever. So, I am hoping someone will be able to help with a problem I have in New York. It's obviously quite difficult to deal with from the UK and I now need a NY based lawyer. I've spoken to a couple but they generally charge so much that they openly admit I'll be walking away empty handed if I'm not careful once we reach the supreme court. There's a rather large sum of money involved and it's a pretty cast iron case but some legal help and sensible fees would be very much appreciated. Thanks in adance for all help and advice.

Any New York lawyers on the forum or any contacts , by Heavyconsumer on Nov 17, 2008 10:22:51 GMT 1, For anything New York, "Craigslist" normally has the answer. Here's the link to Legal classifieds in NYC: newyork.craigslist.org/lgs/
Good luck.
However a referal would definitly be a preferable option for me if I needed something of that nature. Hopefully someone here can hook you up.

Any New York lawyers on the forum or any contacts , by Poppy Sunshine on Nov 17, 2008 17:16:32 GMT 1, Thanks HC and thanks to those who pm'd. I've put some enquiries out and await responses. Brun, I've been lookinga tit for a while and have previously been put off by the legal bills. However, it is indeed a big sum I'm dealing with and better to get some of it than none. I will have to weigh it up though and hopefully I can find a lawyer who can give me some sort of price beforehand without running up a massive bill and taking all the money for themselves. I know our own solicitors here can work in different ways and have my fingers crossed that someone will see things from my point of view and suggest a suitable way of dealing with the situation to suit us both. Will keep the forum posted if it doesn't drag on too long as it could be useful to someone else at some point.
