Does desire out weigh expectations?, by Ged on Nov 9, 2008 17:45:39 GMT 1, Has anyone ever eventually bought a piece of work they've wanted for quite a long time only to find that once they've got it it either doesn't quite live up to expectations or they've lost all enthusiasm for it?
I suppose what I'm trying to say is, I've wanted a Neate piece for well over a year now but I'm getting to the stage where I'm thinking once I get one I could just think 'Oh well'. As in it's all in the thrill of the chase more so than the actual object itself. I'd be surprised if I wasn't excited by the purchase and didn't look at it every day but.......
Like the old saying "You should never meet your idol"
