NICK WALKER - Works Up For Mercy Appeal, by Coach on Aug 18, 2008 22:24:39 GMT 1, Been away for a while, and just caught up with this thread. The latest pieces look superb - great work guys. The Herakut is stand out for me. I too like the idea of a printed version.

NICK WALKER - Works Up For Mercy Appeal, by Harveyn on Aug 18, 2008 22:45:45 GMT 1, All good ideas folks. Ged (Paper Windows) had already suggested creating a book and we have decided to do this on an annual basis and next year will involve some form of published book. The good news is that the books will be a mixture of auction and raffle so everyone will have an opportunity to win one not just those who can afford it.
Anyway the books are half way through their journeys and over the next fortnight Ged and myself will decide on the final auction/raffle process. Watch this space....

NICK WALKER - Works Up For Mercy Appeal, by Harveyn on Aug 22, 2008 13:35:42 GMT 1, Big thanks to SPQR for several wonderful pieces. Its very clear to see why Matt has been having such a successful year.
Both pieces have use of a nice glittery silver sparkles on the black ...
"Sketch Pad 3" will be making its way to WeLikeStatic next.
'International Space Supplies'
'DumSkullz'
The quote on the main piece is by Allen Ginsberg : " Jiggling your knees blankeyed in the rain, when it snows in your nose you catch cold in your brain "

NICK WALKER - Works Up For Mercy Appeal, by Coach on Aug 23, 2008 23:55:04 GMT 1, Brilliant work by SPQR as usual. Always had a bit of a thing for skulls. Not sure why. So, I've been thinking (edit: dreaming) about what I would do if I won one of these. I would want to frame it somehow, but how? Presumably, it would be possible to frame a notebook in an acrylic box, that could be opened at the front , so that you could turn the pages now and again, to enjoy a different page? That would be very special.

NICK WALKER - Works Up For Mercy Appeal, by sahoria on Aug 24, 2008 0:13:15 GMT 1, coach have thought about that myself... my idea was to get the sketchbook and those robotic arms in glass box to turn the pages...lol... would pay some uni tech student cash to build the robotic arm and then sit back and change via remote...lol... in reality i think would be far to scared to do that..!
whoever is lucky enough to win is a problem they will enjoy solving though...s
