I made a small fortune in school (well for a 10 yr old kid anyways) selling copied Amiga 500 games back in the day. Getting that all important 512K memory upgrade was a glorious day of triumph and bragging rights..
True fact, all the CGI in Babylon 5 was done on an Amiga 4000

There was an interesting article posted by The Art Market twitter account about what appears to be an original, documented Rothko that a speculator is unable to obtain authentication for via publication in a catalogue. The risk of lawsuits is just too high so the authenticating bodies have all closed their doors.

The best way to get something authentic is to steer clear of eBay and purchase through a reputable auction house. R&R is as reputable as they come and I'm sure they did their research before authenticating the signature. |

Now, it has been well framed and looks GREAT. This would be awesome for a Warhol fan who is not super rich. I'm guessing the autograph = $500-1000 or so + framing of $500-800. Everything together, I'd estimate this at about a $2000-2500 piece. I'ts not for me as I would like the autograph horizontal (I'm OCD) - but would make an amazing piece for any Warhol fan or pop art fan. Also, federation is great to deal with. Good luck with your sale, highly recommended. |
