I have really fucked up - in short, I am the best man for my friends wedding and have the joy or sorting out his stag do this weekend - but have done nothing except book a hotel and arrange some surf lessons.
Has anybody got any ideas?

You'll wake up refreshed and in a good state of mind. You won't feel sick and embarrassed about what you did the night before and you'd have stayed out of trouble.
Either that or just don't go, sounds like a nightmare.
Going to bed early is the new going out.

Stag do - Newquay - This weekend - Any ideas?, by thebees on Jul 21, 2008 9:18:11 GMT 1, Sailers is a class night club... and over the road is the strip club?!? went there last year for a stag do. We had nothing planned except surfing and where to eat. Even so, there was never a dull moment!!!
There are a few karting places near.

you can get ripped in a coastal town every saturday fo the rest of your life.
Newquay is a cesspit of vomit & piss due to stags/hens and suchlike.a deeply unpleasant experience
be original and make it memorable for the group.

Nothing like that to help the group bond and although a bit on the pricey side, an unforgettable experience for everyone.

On a good swell, Crantock is good but I am like Babyford... Watergate is nicer. Less tossers there.

Check Jamie Olivers restaurant down there too, awesome food - extremely expensive.
The Extreme Accademy down there is by far the best place to get surfing lessons...
If you want the usual stag do scenario, get down into town, hit all those crppy nightclubs with all the 1000s of other stags and hens, and enjoy every minute of it.
PS - the Maharaja is by far the best spot of a curry, great food even if you aint pissed. Just down for the Barracuda bar (another dive).

Failing that, Walkabout is quite good if theres some sport on, and its rammed full of surfer types and hen do's. The Central pub is also pretty good and the barstaff are lovely!!!
For an evening, i can recommend two 'gentlemens' clubs: Halo's and Divas. I suggest you go to Halo's: some of the nicest women i've seen in a good while!!!

Yes, Newquay really sounds like a shit hole...but its what the Stag wanted.
Just booked a fishing trip for the Saturday afternoon - could not get into 15 nor Rick Steins resturants for the evening meal - but plan to go to a resturant called Custard in Padstow (recommended by 15 - but it sounds like an ideal place to visit after a couple of days with kebabs, slappers and strippers!)
Many thanks for the heads up on where the fat birds go, where the best curry is served, where the attractive strippers swing and where we can just chill after all that sickly disco shit!
Plans are still open for Sunday day - but I guess we will go down to extreme acadamy to finish us off with some good old water fun!

A chilled spot away from the hecticness with amazing views over Fistral Beach - great beers and food and always had sport on the TVs in the bar. Can eat in the bar or restaurant and is the best spot in Newquay for a chilled Sunday IMO.

So my suggestion I know not very helpful, but would be avoid at all costs do summat else
I can't imagine Padstow being a great place for a stag do.
