Its strange but until I became interested in street art I am pretty sure I might have walked past this. But since my interest began I have now started noticing no matter where I am in the world things I have walked past all my life.

I have to say that I thought the piece he painted was pretty bland and I'm not really surprised at the result. It is art produced to feed an elite clique of people who have learned to understand it - it is just not relevant to the vast majority of people and therefore it is ignored. I would love to see a similar experiment done with Banksy - I imagine the results would be reversed. The meaning of Banksy's art is clear and obvious - one doesn't need training in the "language of contemporary art" to understand it. In fact this is the single most important thing Banksy has done IMO - he has made art RELEVANT to everyone.
And at the risk of devaluing my previous comments I have to say that I thought the most aesthetically pleasing thing in that video was the girl talking with the Christies sign behind her...

Yeah have to agree. I would of probably walked past too a while ago.
Similar kind of perception change happened when I took up photography (very amateurly) but it made me see the world completely different.
