does "they're taking our jobs" apply to any of the above? I think not.

I acknowledge their are those who abuse the system but their are bad apples in ever community. It is easy to scapegoat others to detract from addressing other failures. The governments millitary spening is 25billion pounds, tell me how much could that do for this country. In Iraq alone the government has spent 6 billion pounds, that is incomprehensible amounts of money flushed down the drain. I am a second generation immigrant and proud to be British. I love this country, it is the only home I know.

Funyoung I had written a thought out reply to your post then I realised it isn't worth it. You may try to use convoluted language to feel big and clever but it doesn't wash.

Here is the gist of my comment as you can't grasp it.

Australia = natives ethnically cleansed.
Australia= land full of immigrants.
Australia = tough policy on immigration = farcical because of this.

Is that more clear?

1. Aborigines themselves migrated to Australia (albeit around 40,000 years ago).
2. Although Australia has a tough policy on 'asylum-seekers' immigration to the country continues to rise. It is all about 'who' you let in for them.

Our government spends billions on warfare meaning money not spent on welfare. Billionaires in cahoots with government dodge tax via off shore tax havens. KNOW YOUR REAL ENEMY. 67% of the worlds wealth is owned by 2% of its population whilst half the population lives on less than $2 a day. This is the same world were one man (Bill Gates) can amass a 70 million pound fortune, equivalent to the gross domestic output of all African countries combined. There is a leech, a scrounger and burden on society and that leech is the obesely wealthy. KNOW YOUR REAL ENEMY.

How do you justify the call for amnesty for lawbreaking foreign nationals in the face of what occured since the US passed the Immigration Reform and Control Act in 1986?

I cut and pasted only the Immigration facts which are the latest facts and figures published in the Guardian April 1st along with the various news articals and of course the quotes I used, the rest is mine.
