You don't choose who you tick, the programme does it for you...
PS - It chose Boris for me! VOTE BORIS

it show's you who you mostly agree with Mike...doesn't mean you have to tick them ...
I'd say time to think about what your politics really are, and what Banksy stands for if you're someone who likes the bnp (not u Mike whoever ticked that box)...as for Boris he's a funny guy but he won't be getting my vote (he's still a tory after all!)

But that's the ENTIRE point of this poll... you don't find out whose policies you agree with then tick a different box.. nothing to do with somone liking the BNP or not... If when I'd done the quiz it said BNP then I'd have ticked that box... that's the point of the poll

Doesn't work that way agreeing with policies like "Inter-racial marriage should be strongly discouraged." makes you a scumbag, whether you say it in the pub or tick it on a website imho
Jesus!
You could have ticked disagee on that one and still have been closest matched to the BNP guy. There were maybe 2 contentious (of that kind) quesions on there... you could have disagreed with him on both of them yet agreed with him on bus lanes and bendy buses etc and still been closest matched

yessss I understand that it doesn't give you one choice, in my case it gave me three, i then went down the list and saw who closely matched with my 'way of thinking' .... I guess the point I'm making is that at the point if I saw bnp as a choice I'd go 'wtf' ! and have a think about how thats ended up there...fair enough you tick their box I'd just be very surprised thats all...but it's a democracy after all and well u know blah blah freedom of speech etc ... anyway I uderstand it's all about the questions answered and seeing who you really are closest to in opinion...its just u know the bnp...

london mayor, by Rude Copper on Apr 25, 2008 11:41:26 GMT 1, mm's right, (not on the bnp, tho), the idea is to break away from stereotype voting, vote for the result that you got from the 25 questions. the poll only offers you 8 answers, so 2 were omitted.

london mayor, by kiy on Apr 25, 2008 11:48:09 GMT 1, BNP! - Whoever voted fo them should speak up and voice there opnion on why they think the BNP would be a positive step forward for London.
"Inter-racial marriage should be strongly discouraged."
BNP - The only mayoral candidate who agress with the above statement....!
"Penalising anti-social behaviour among young people is more important than investing in youth centres and youth services."
BNP - One of only two canditates who agree with the above statement....!
Anyone who can agree with any of the above statements must be a total t**t..

london mayor, by angryboy on Apr 25, 2008 11:59:37 GMT 1, surprised there's so many right leaning people on here tbh. the arts has traditionally always been left-leaning. 7 Tory, 2 BNP and one UKIP = 10 5 Lab, 2 Lib Dem, one Left = 8
New Labour don't really count as left do they?

Like they would... I think an anonymous vote in the poll is the best you're going to get.

That's part of the problem with party's such as the BNP, they're good at twisting popular views around and presenting them as palatable. Good on you for saying what it threw up and voicing concern though.

Me too but even then very wrong, IMO it's still giving it a platform.

london mayor, by anthoz on Apr 25, 2008 12:16:26 GMT 1, the most interesting thing is looking at answers from the candidates themselves i like Boris, but he voted 'neither' for 6 out of 20 questions. not reallt the sign of a decisive leader whereas ken the loony leftie was more worried about agreeing to ban feeding pigeons and have a 20mph speed limit to be honest anyone who saw question time last night would have seen mr livingstone use the words 'con' in reference to his attempt to bring the olympics to london 'i pulled off a con trick, i dont care about 3 weeks of sport, this was about bringing money into london' at least hes honest about being a liar ;D

london mayor, by angryboy on Apr 25, 2008 12:22:17 GMT 1, I assumed neither just meant it wasn't an issue they've raised or mentioned in their campaign, not that they explicitly said they didn't have a view.
Then again I didn't read any of the blurb on the site.

london mayor, by dmandpenfold on Apr 25, 2008 12:23:31 GMT 1, you can't have a democratic process and then turn around and complain about the BNP being there and abusing those that chose them, otherwise you too are bigotted just like the people you hate...it doesn't make sense, it's like having democracy but only allowing parties you agree with in some way but not those that you strongly object to.
"all animals are equal, except some are more equal than others"
for the record, before anyone jumps on me, i don't vote BNP either, i just filled out the poll to see who i would match up with, English Democrats were first, BNP second?? Weird thing is i'm not remotely racist and didn't agree with any racist policies, however i didnt agree with any affirmative action ones either (and in relation to both there really weren't any what you might call 'difficult' choices)...what does that mean....that the BNP are aiming for the more mainstream policies as a way of getting their other agendas through?

Also gutted that I missed the Question time last night as would have loved to have seen them all having a good debate.

london mayor, by angryboy on Apr 25, 2008 14:14:52 GMT 1, As should any politician really. One man's art is another man's vandalism. As much as I love a lot of the artists work on here I can think of plenty of artists whose work I wouldn't want surprise plastered on the side of my house.
Seems like Ken's making a come back in the polls.
