My rather long post relates to all the comments on immigration on this thread as well as the results from the poll not with regards to the comment about Australlia.
The facts and statistics I quoted are just that facts and statistics, not opinion there is a difference.
I explained the Australia thing before. I found it funny that a country of immigrants was being quoted as having a great immigration policy. You obviously cant see the irony!

The method in which you went about explaining yourself got my 'back up'.
Interestingly, as someone who has to deal with 'facts and statistics' I know only too well how they can be manipulated. I thus preach caution before accepting such facts and thus have to disagree with the statement in red above.
While 'we are all immigrants' Immigration Policy can only deal with a snapshot of time. Thus using history to back up any such arguements can be futile.
