I'm wondering if some of the more worldly and experienced members might be able to offer some advice please, regarding the following.
Have any of you used a logistics service to transport framed art long-distance? Especially a service you would recommend?
Alternatively has anyone carried pieces on long-haul flights? I can't imagine giving pieces over to baggage handlers and of course overhead compartments are not an option!!!!
I have art in England, which I want to take to South America and don't know where to begin. Any suggestions or advice would be very welcome indeed.

Rat, thanks for trying and I'll remember that when I next need to fly with a tube, but it doesn't really help answer the original question mate. Cheers anyway for posting, like I said could prve helpful in future.

Any advice on shipping please?, by funster on Mar 10, 2008 12:27:43 GMT 1, Someone recently sent me a framed/glazed Banksy from the states using fedex and it arrived without any problems, they also have a great international tracking system so you know where the parcel is at any time

Does anyone have any ideas on packaging that might come in handy?
