bring out the linch mob ive been robbed!, by reados on May 30, 2007 19:47:11 GMT 1, i bought a dface "death and glory" from this guy of the dface forum (not nameing names yet) i got today no 9 of 50 certifact of authenticity all correct, in a black rat tube, just a few things bothered me in my hasty purchase, he sold it at cost £350 and postage £10. because he was desperate for cash.
He kept harping on about the fact he never got it out of the tube since he bought it off another guy on the forum, and the guy he bought from had not either (i should of smelt a rat but did realise until i read through his posts and emails again.
check out the photos, he forgot to tell me someone had an accident with a spray can, oh yeah of course he never opened it after he had paid for £400, even though the tube came to him unsealed he never even peaked.

bring out the linch mob ive been robbed!, by reados on May 30, 2007 20:33:10 GMT 1, i have spoken to the previous owner and he said it wasn't like that when he had it.
BRP were cool but could not really help and they don't have any spares for damages.
They guy was really suprised and new nothing of it but the amount of time he had posted the fact he had not opened the tube, leads me to believe that he really did know something of this.

bring out the linch mob ive been robbed!, by corblimeylimey on May 30, 2007 20:45:24 GMT 1, Agreed wezzley, if there's nothing you can do with BRP, a refund and return is what you should demand.
I'd have thought the print is pretty worthless in it's current state, I guess it could be framed covering up the signiture and numbering with a mount board, but that doesn't help with it's value.

bring out the linch mob ive been robbed!, by bonesy on May 30, 2007 21:18:41 GMT 1, Sorry to hear your news.
But BRP shouldnt be replacing this. It was obviously damaged after purchase. (Ive read of POW replacing prints months after purchase which bothers me hugely in the world of limited editions. Hence the word limited.)

bring out the linch mob ive been robbed!, by teatwosugars on May 30, 2007 23:27:04 GMT 1, A really horrible story and a difficult decision to make reados. You have my sympathies.
It all depends on your own situation. If it were me I would accept the offer and cut my losses. This is not because I don't want to fight for the principal, but because I have found myself in situations like this where it has become a drain to continue fighting (my latest run of bad luck seems to have been in getting stitched up with the constant fake pairs of trainers that have littered ebay recently)
Having said that, the seller obviously knows that it is his/her responsibility or they would have offered no refund at all.
All I can do is to wish you the best of luck with whichever decision you make, and offer my presence in the lynch mob- I have my pitch fork and burning torch at the ready ;D
Keep us all posted on how you get on.

bring out the linch mob ive been robbed!, by Imoy-San on May 31, 2007 7:45:32 GMT 1, I would ask for a full refund and name the person. It's a bit naive to suggest the person didn't know the print has been rendered useless or close to it, by the blemish.
I would be very upset, and would take action to make sure other members know who the culprit is.
Good luck

The blokes a tw*t. He should give you a full refund. You didn't enter into a contract with him to buy a faulty print, therefore he is in breach of contract and should give you a full refund.

bring out the linch mob ive been robbed!, by Adamski on May 31, 2007 7:57:09 GMT 1, If you're not happy with his refund offer, go through the paypal claims process for goods significantly not as described.
His claim that he knew nothing of the damage makes no difference as it is his responsibility to know what he is selling.
The paypal process is simple and might scare him enough to give the full refund, the main problem is it takes time and is never guaranteed.
Best of luck, that is really harsh.
