Visit BRISTOL ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Feral Things on Jan 26, 2015 20:33:38 GMT 1, Is FLX-one still painting in Bristol? Cheers, mate. Yes, FLX1 still paints but only one or two street pieces a year nowadays; FLX and Dones are two halves of Paintsmiths. Here's some pieces from the last few years; the piece top left is the collaboration with Dones which hibster mentioned, the bottom left is with Soker and the bottom right is with Jody:
For what it's worth, I think FLX is a very talented and versatile artist and it's crazy to think that he's been painting for 32 years now. Here's a piece painted with Inkie in the mid-1980s from Zam Booka's Flickr stream (I've said it before but his Flickr is well worth checking out):

Visit BRISTOL ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Feral Things on Feb 22, 2015 16:54:36 GMT 1, I'm spending a couple of days in Bristol (Thursday/Friday) for business. But I should get a few hours in the day to look around. Where's the best places to head to? And any good galleries? Cheers. There's Upfest, Hangfire and Bristol Museum (with a Banksy sculpture from the show a few years back) but there's not a whole lot going on indoors at the moment, so if you've only got a couple of hours I'd check out the work out on the streets instead. There's some great pieces on Nelson Street by El Mac, Conor Harrington, Aryz etc. and 5 minutes walk away is Stokes Croft and its adjoining streets which is constantly being painted and is home to Banksy' Mild Mild West and this new piece by Voyder:
If you've got a little more time then Dean Lane Skate Park in Bedminster, Mina Road tunnel in St Werburghs and Wilder Street/Brunswick Square in St Pauls either get painted regularly or have some nice pieces worth checking out. Enjoy your trip!

The posts of street art from you, dungle, commissioner, dibbs and all the others make this place what it is. Especially for the countryside dwellers like myself. If only mikeydread was posting his too. Don't think it's not appreciated. It very much is.

Saw them in a squat somewhere in North London, early 80's I think, supported by Kukl, Bjork's first band. Have some photo's of the gig. It was just before Flux released their unlistenable album 'The f**king c**ts Treat Us Like p*icks'. ( Don't think that one went on my xmas list that year ).
And for all you pop kids, Flux's 'Tube Disasters was used by Professor Green.

I never saw Kukl. But I did see the Sugarcubes. I liked them. And, you simply can't beat that LP name. It's taken me back quite a few years! Cheers mate.

You are a lucky man headfall. It was early sugarcubes that I saw. They were excellent. A new sound. Not many bands that one can say that about. The Jesus and Mary chain were another.

Visit BRISTOL ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Feral Things on Apr 2, 2015 20:07:15 GMT 1, Thank you, gents. I've been following the Bristol graf scene for over 15 years and the last few months do feel like a real 'purple patch' in terms of the quality of piece going up and the new spots that are opening up. I think these pieces below are a perfect case in point.
Boswell and Rowdy
Boswell, Lokey and Cus

Rowdy and Sweet Toof (an oldie but a goodie)
