Been experimenting with some new concepts to make the calligraphy really be the center of attention in a chaotic atmosphere. You can check HD pics of the piece on my fb page

Show us Your own Artwork π¨, by Iqra'a on Jul 2, 2014 9:09:23 GMT 1, Here are my most recent pieces. These were done for a Calligraffiti exhibition in Street Art Gallery in Dubai.
The pieces are apart of a series called "The 5 Stages of Vandalism"
Each piece is done using textured vinyl brick, Montana paint, and stencil work on a separate layer of glass. So the stenciled men cast shadows over the background design. (also, final 2 have wheat paste paper)
thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Very impressive. I like the mixture of calligraphy and stencil work. There is something very lifelike on the postures of the figures. I like these very much.

This was my first ever appearance in a gallery, so I wanted to make sure my pieces stood out from the others. That being said, my pieces were actually displayed next to works by eL Seed, Niels SHOE Muelman, and Everitte Barbie. So I had to try really hard to make these pieces unique in order to be noticed next to such famous works.

Show us Your own Artwork π¨, by Sic on Jul 27, 2014 1:02:29 GMT 1, So I have been wanting to have a go at painting my own canvas. I really enjoy the abstract mix media pieces. This is my very first canvas, and I have been experimenting with layers and different paints, also with color matching and attempting to enhance the depth of the piece. Any and all suggestions and criticisms are welcome. Also, any advice on how to build layers would be greatly appreciated. I've learned a great deal from you guys and I hope I can continue to grow and learn.
Thoughts?
