depends if h wants more money at the end of the day ,
If he released 4 prints a year or none i cant see this having any affect on his art will all sell out anyway.

Id say no, his artistic output is far more important than what he makes available for purchase. Personally thats how id hope all artists are judged, but id guess its not always so.

If he goes a long time between prints, then when that next one is released it'll be a scrum of epic proportions. I would guess the longer he goes between releases, the more tension builds in the market.

Some of the street pieces he has put up recently in the states, Bristol Tesco and the Tox thing in London highlight he is not actually suffering from artists block etc. If you count the Tesco poster he has done one so far this year.
Agree with Otto that i do not think the print releases are financially based he pricing has been pretty lowish in comparrison to less well established artists.
It will be interesting what he thinks of the chaos and flipping as to whether he alters price or system. Or whether he thinks nothing he can do about it.
Think an up north release has as much chance as a release in Hong kong. I could buy them all and flip them to everyone!!!! Only because I bought too many by mistake!!!!

Personally I don't think it matters how few or many he releases, or where from, there will always be the madness. I also don't think he's remotely interested in doing prints any more, its not like he needs them - although POW most definitely do, so maybe its 1 a year just to keep them happy. Wouldn't surprise me if he knocked them on the head for a good while though, but hope not - secondary market prints are out of my budget!!

I like Winters idea though. Was thinking something similar after the Bristol Show, as I couldn't figure how he could top it... So daydreamed the next show would be the art equivalent of the Stone Roses Spike Island gig - we would all have to make our way to Banksy Island, wander around finding crazy animatronix & outdoor pieces, then you would have to do some ludicrously difficult challenge to stand a chance of purchasing the next print.... Of course in this daydream I was amazingly good at said challenge and walked off with an AP... =)
