Antony Micallef "Happy, Deep Inside My Heart" Sept, by Gentle Mental on Sept 19, 2011 17:59:42 GMT 1, i think he's growing very nicely - darker, deeper and creepier... no longer guns and grenade and wings and skull juxtapose with roses and angel wings... diamonds shitting, nymph abducting, bunny shagging a frogin' - all new and good.
the head portraits are evolving nicely too - from man face smudges to animal smudges to creepy sexual smudges...
i think he's very driven, and determined to be in for the long haul.

At the opening, all 34 works were sold at prices from ยฃ3,600 to ยฃ66,000, a 50 per cent increase since the artistโs last show in 2009. Micallef, whose work has been collected by Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Damien Hirst, used to be associated with the urban/graffiti art culture. โNot any more,โ says Lazarides. โHeโs a proper painter.โ CG
