Pristine & Mint....., by poofly on Jul 13, 2007 15:21:47 GMT 1, Well there's an interesting point.
Cold or hot biscuits before the dunk?
Might have to do some trials this weekend with a pack of cold Fox's Butter Crinkles vs. a pack of hot ones.
Will it effect the time til crumble?
it might be interesting to see whether we can get a few more miliseconds dunking out of a cold biscuit
I'll get back with that after the weekend.

I feel your distane for a warm biscuit, but it's such sideways thinking it may just prove to be the next big thing. Non chocolate only though.

For your efforts I shall award you with more Karma once the next hour has passed as I have already given someone biscuity respect recently....

Pristine & Mint....., by johnas on Jul 13, 2007 15:44:58 GMT 1, beards are a unit of time?
i thought a 'beard' was the unit name for a gay man's 'wife'
e.g. Look at Tom Cruise's 'beard' (aka Katy Holmes)

Pristine & Mint....., by poofly on Jul 13, 2007 15:53:27 GMT 1, Well it takes me a couple of weeks to get kinda grizzly around the facial area, so anything upwards of that really.
So 'beards' would be enough time to grow at least one beard.
As in 'this kettle is taking proper beards to boil'

Pristine & Mint....., by gilbaron on Jul 13, 2007 16:35:15 GMT 1, Sorry fellas, Im in the states and the dunking craze is just starting to take a foothold in the underground afternoon scene here and Im a bit of a neophyte to this whole tea and biscuits scene. I think I've missed the boat and been priced right out of the market, but if anyone has a nice biscuit they'd be willing to part with for less than teabay prices you'd make a friend stateside. Im just desperate to get an authentic biscuit, especially before the upcoming Biscuit vs Scone show in August, but not desperate enough to forget to ensure that you can pro vide proper provenance, a reciept, some email backup, and that you will pack properly and ship insured. IMHO warm biscuits do the trick every time

Quite interested to hear more about the Biscuit vs Scone exhibition. Did I hear right that its going to be held at the Hospital Staff Room around tea time?
Might have to have a word with my contact at Fox's see if he knows owt about it.
One thing I think the Leg Len Fisher may have missed is the old biscuit temperature factor.
I may have to have a word in his shell like, and propose some new variables to be tested.

Pristine & Mint....., by poofly on Jul 13, 2007 16:57:16 GMT 1, Now I've heard plenty of chat about packaging on this here forum and would like to know what people think about the way in which their biscuits arrive at the table.
Sometimes you open the pack carefully, but theres already a few broken ones, even before the less experienced may take one out and break it.
Here's where some confusion may occur. Fox's Classics.
There's the bars (referred to earlier in this thread) bvut there are also Fox's Classic biscuits.
Now Fox's have got it right here, a plastic tray to stop your hard earned biscuits from getting destroyed in transit.
Maybe McVities should investigate this in an attempt to stave off the broken biscuit syndrome.
I haven't yet sent any packs back becuase of this but surely if people are getting replacement packs of biscuits because of damage to the edges it would be cheaper to invest in better protection in the first place so they don't have to get into replacing biscuits at their own cost.
Just a thought....

I hope to hear from him soon, via email or indeed on here, the best thread ever to hit the banksy forum.

For gods sakes man this is the 21st century, this call to more plastic packaging is highly irresponsible think of the biscuit footprint, as a mature and responsible biscuit collecting community we should be calling for a more environmentally friendly product, waxed paper perhaps. I believe that other collectibles already use re-cycled materials let's not get left behind here us biscuit lovers are leaders not followers.

Pristine & Mint....., by poofly on Jul 13, 2007 17:25:23 GMT 1, Well in 5 mins I will have spent my whole day at work talking about biscuits, which is quite an acheivement in my book.
Though everyone probably thinks I'm a proper nonce, I like to think I take the biscuit when it comes to random posts.
Next exhibition opening night, I won't have name badge, just a fox's classic stuck to my chest.
