When looking at a print through UV glass from certain angles it can distort the artwork below and mimic the rippled effect, and therefore make you beleive there is a lot more movement in the paper than there actually is. You say when it's on the wall you cant notice it, so could well be just a trick of the eye?
If it is in fact the paper as you suspect, i'd say it's worth getting it flattened as it's an expensive piece.

Its under UV glass yes. But theres defiantly some ripples there too. Interesting to hear though! It probably does explain how it can look SOOOOO different from certain angles!

Yep. Winter came along and I discovered 2 feet of my living room wall is external. Deeply disheartening!

For sale Silver Warning Invader, original owner, purchased directly from POW
The print was float mounted in a UV perspex box by MFM
The bad news is that the perspex box has a couple of 1" long visible scratches on the front, which are in close proximity and towards the top right of the front of the box. I dont know if this can be polished out or if the front can be replaced/repaired, perhaps a question for MFM. That said I am looking for £800 for the Silver Warning Invader inc the frame as is. I can obviously take more detailed pics of the damage to the frame, but being honest it is unlikely that you would be able to live with it as is.
