ADVICE - Ebay Transactions, Credit Cards, PayPal, by Mordecai on Apr 5, 2014 16:02:08 GMT 1, Hi! I was buyer. I live in scandinavia, seller in the states. Fees was about same as paypal. Time involved was money wiring, took some days for escrow to confirm money in account. When this was done the art work was shipped. When I received it, i confirmed and seller got money.
Low risk for both.
Answer you questions? If not please ask. I would use it again.

ADVICE - Ebay Transactions, Credit Cards, PayPal, by Lroy on Apr 19, 2014 18:11:45 GMT 1, I have just been f.cked by 2 ( or 3 ) young mates that ruined my selling ( I will try to sell it here , the elephant Obey from Little collector ) , making fakes bidding for nothinkg. Time wasters. The winner did not answered me nor paid me, so I am still waiting that the case will be close and I hesitate to make it back on Ebay. Anyway, I just want to tell you in this thread that international shipping are awful : a lot of items does not arrive ( it could be the buyer who are lying ) , international shipping does not care, they say it it is a the customs ( it could be ) and theri are a Lot of ROBBERS in the POSTMEN of all the countries ! You could answered me : " but sell in France " . Nope, There is no chance to sell street-art or rock in France. Frace does not rock. ;-)

ADVICE - Ebay Transactions, Credit Cards, PayPal, by oxfordwelshchap on Apr 30, 2016 5:38:19 GMT 1, Anyone know why sellers keep cancelling bids. It's happened to me three times now. I was bidding on a Faile print. Was watching and had a few bids in, had it at a good price and bam bids cancelled.

ADVICE - Ebay Transactions, Credit Cards, PayPal, by seanryan on Jun 5, 2016 1:58:50 GMT 1, My cautionary tale from earlier this year: I found this Rostarr piece on eBay. It's from his War Pen show at Leonard St. Gallery. I get nervous buying overseas, but y'all seem to have the best art available and I hadn't had a bad experience until this one. The seller (eBay ID: therevolt) has a good history and we had good communication until I paid. Then he went silent. Item never shipped and after attempting to contact him multiple times, I had to ask eBay for a refund. Fortunately, I won the dispute, but this is the one that got away.
Communication seemed to be the key in getting the refund quickly. I only contacted the seller through eBay, so they were able to see everything that was said and when communication stopped in relation to payment. Never did hear anything back from the seller.

Sorry to hear about your poor experience.
The Rostarr piece is nice, but perhaps it is for the better the sale didn't complete.
Legally, it's unlikely that The Leonard Street Gallery should even have been trading in May–June 2008 — at the time of Doze Green and Rostarr's joint exhibition, War Pen. The whole show was tainted by its association with the gallery and the financial mismanagement (if not corruption) which came to light immediately afterwards. The subsequent debacle, with artists, consignors, buyers and other creditors left out of pocket, wasn't a pretty sight.
Given the fact Rostarr himself may not have been paid following the original sale of the piece you wanted, it isn't work I'd feel comfortable acquiring. You're better off purchasing directly from his studio or from a primary dealer who'll actually pay the artist what he's due, when it's due.
As an aside, I see no negative feedback has been left for the seller, therevolt. Were you unable to leave feedback after getting reimbursed by eBáy?

Makes me feel a lot better about the sale not going through. The seller was super nice, said he worked with Ro, had a few pieces from the show, and had all the original receipts. I probably could have left feedback after getting the refund. Call me naive, but since he had a good history and not knowing why the sale fell through, I decided not to leave any feedback at all. It hasn't been listed for sale again and I don't think therevolt has listed anything at all since. It's unfortunate that situations like this occur.
