Blatatant pushing up of prices on ebay, by richskara on Apr 10, 2012 21:40:10 GMT 1, apologies if this is incorrect place.
This pisses me off so much:
offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=180859550903
This M***N is blatantly bidding on the auction to push the price up the maximum bid of the bidder. He bids in small increments then stops when it gets near the top bid.
You can tell because the bid levels out rather than showing your bid has been beaten.
Fucking annoying

I really didn't like this piece till I saw it in person this weekend but wasn't going to shell out the £450 Artrepublic were wanting for it ha ha.
I did point out it was still on sale at cost.

Blatatant pushing up of prices on ebay, by Ottomatik on Apr 10, 2012 22:02:10 GMT 1, M**N is setting his highest offer. First time £50. When he was out bid at£51.51, he set his highest offer @ £65. His last highest bid was £150. Now that someone surpassed his highest bid, he should stop and purchase it from HMP.

Blatatant pushing up of prices on ebay, by Ottomatik on Apr 10, 2012 22:24:05 GMT 1, eBay automatically increases his bid when someone out bids his last bid. If I bid £20 as my highest offer, and it started at £10. When someone out buds my £10 to £12, eBay doesn't show his bid, it shoots mine up to £14. Until the £20 is reached. Does that make sense?

Blatatant pushing up of prices on ebay, by schnulli on Apr 10, 2012 22:30:49 GMT 1, Just take a look at m**n's bid history. I think you'll find it's a shill bidding account. I'd steer well clear of this auction, if I was looking to buy.

Blatatant pushing up of prices on ebay, by richskara on Apr 10, 2012 22:44:56 GMT 1, Otto that's not how it works, if M***N bid £150 the bidding history would show a straight bifd of £150 not all the incrementals in between. As Schnulli says it is a blatant shill bidding account.

You can report it....but most likely it'll be a slap on the wrist. I don't think ebay are that tough on it to be honest.

I bought a camera off a guy who was regularly shill bidding everything he sold. Only found out about it when it was too late, and he stopped it for a while, but is at it again.

Blatatant pushing up of prices on ebay, by Ottomatik on Apr 10, 2012 23:58:10 GMT 1, Well, I guess I don't understand the whole bidding thing with eBay. I'd always try to purchase something I want from forum members instead. (or from source.) However, if I do the eBay route, it's always Buy It Now or best offer.
You should just pick it up at HMP, and save yourself the headache of eBay.
Either way, I hope you get the Dolk you're after!
