Craig Everett π¬π§ Rourke Van Dal β’ Urban Artist, by Rourke on Jul 5, 2010 9:46:39 GMT 1, Now that is a quality piece. Is that a little Nola in the background I spy?
Well spotted mate, Been sneaking various things I see on a day to day basis in alot of my recent peices, Since Christmas. And thought it would be good to see them in a different environment.
Can any body spot anything else?
They are a few hidden gems
Find Wally? lol ;D
Cheers for your post

another Banksy piece - No Ball Games
IMO great piece ruined by the needless inclusion of Banksy's works - why did you feel you needed to do that? Do you think your work isnt strong enough to speak for itself that you need to include Banksy's works in yours?

Hooray!!! somebody who speaks his mind Thankyou for being honest.
The thing about this new work is, I want to keep them alive by re-doing them in different ways. Until I get bored and move on. so in most cases they will be VERY limited.
So if you would like one, you can have one without the Banksy in it. Pm me
WHY? Do'nt get out much, so alot of things I see in everyday life are popping up in new works. My intension in this peice was to rip-off a Lowry, and bring it up to date, with a modern environment. My thought was if I can rip-off a lowry I can add the man Banksy in that equation. Its a street scene, so why not add street art, so I added somebody spraypainting, then the banksy came from that.
Hasnt banksys work shown some inflences from other artists?
MY WORK? I think nowadays the art game is too much about coin. And all I want to do is something that I love, and earn a living at the same time. Do'nt want to make Millions, and sell the consumer short, just a decent living and continue on my journey in art. STRONG ENOUGH⦠I beleive it more now than I use to a few years ago. The thing is I have always drawn. Since I got envolved in this scene I have been Learning myself technique after technique, in a process to get better. That is probably why my work as probably looked like its a bit all over the place. But it isnt I have just been trying different stuff. Nobody as ever taught me, I havent been to UNI or college, I didnt even go to school most of the time, I was sat at home drawing on the coffee table (watching Rainbow, The sullivans, A Country practise,) I am trying to figure it owt myself, thats why I always post stuff to get a bit of feedback. So thankyou for being honest
I am happy with what I am doing at present, just would like to do it more. I am hoping to go more fulltime very soon, I plan to work my butt off and really get my finger out. And try,
Thanks again Rourke

Craig Everett π¬π§ Rourke Van Dal β’ Urban Artist, by Rourke on Jul 5, 2010 15:09:28 GMT 1, Uncontrolled Randomness
Image, made into No Image, then made back to Image this work is the various bit of newspaper. and bits of other pictures I have been working on recently, that was all over the studio floor. Made into an uncontrolled collage background, then worked with Emulsion, Spraypaint, Pen, Glue, biro pen, Pencil, Feltip, old teabags thrown at it. Dripping with texture and Regurgitated crap, Ouzing with outsideness areas of shine and grit.
I now plan to keep working on this like the others adding more ingrediients to the equation. (like that word today)
Will be part of New work I will be doing and adding to the website soon. The idea⦠These works will just sold at cost to me, materials and my time. They will be called "peace work" or labour only Ones with more work on will be more money. Basic ones for you to add to yourself will be cheaper. Concept⦠What I said earlier, the thought in my head recently is 'why does a picture have to end" Keep them alive like a plant. Instead of watering it, ad text vandalise it more. These will be available on canvas at various sizes.
NOTES & DOODLES I have already started to add various notes, words, doodles to the front, sides, back in pen. What I would like to happen to them is⦠For you and friends to add your own elements to them while they are in your house. Doodle, Scetches, Slogans, Names whatever you want. Make it you own. Like a vandalised telephone box.
Also if you get bored of the look of them send them back and I will revitalise them to what you want. charged at Peace work again.
Making never ending

I haven't been too keen on some of your latest work to be honest but I do like this one! I think some of your work gets a bit overpowered by the backgrounds but this is a good strong image, and the splash of colour works really well

Just a thought I have been having for a while now.
Do you think minimalistic is Old hat? and on its way out
I could never do simply, tried my best to loosen up over the last few years. But it just isnt me.
Really admire artists, which can do stuff simpler, but in a really effective way or style. which makes it more interesting.
Like some Modern art, but feel like some of it is a bit of a rip-off. Probably cos am thick and dont understand alot of it
I think it as got to change at some point, and think it is slowly starting now.
Just wondered what anybody else thinks.
Not minimilism more extremism. just my thoughts

Like in days of old when artists would try sleep deprivation and drastic diet changes to see where this would bring their creative outpourings. 'Creating' by handicapping yourself and putting the design process at the whim of random instruction beyond your control. Your my kind of guy and I would buy you a drink anytime. Probably Irish whisky.
