Just out of interest, how much say does an artist have over pricing, when putting on a show with a gallery?
I always assumed that they agreed the pricing rather than it being completely at the gallerys discretion.
Interested to know.

I know a couple art gallery owners and as they have told me, if they have a relationship they come to an agreement, if they do not the artist has more/most say. But that is in NYC, not sure how you blokes do it over the pond.

David Choe is still David Choe, a world wise name and has painted in cities far and white, with gallery shows across the world, not just Shoreditch.
An artist can control his prices if the gallery say silly money he can protest, but they have obviously convinced him that they can sell some, if they don't well its only his reputation that gets hurt.
ยฃ3k would have been a push but if all 10 sold thats still ยฃ15k!

So much wealth here and will depends on that Gallery's client list... Wouldn't necessarily mean anything in terms of change of profile of the artist (who I like by the way...), these kind of prices need to be achieved on a more sustainable basis to mean anything ;-) Anyway, looking forwards for this Show ...

Like someone said, McGee, Choe, Harrington, these guys have more than paid their dues, travelled the world, showed in s**t pit galleries and amazing white cube galleries. I've never even heard of the gallery who's repping Stikman? Seriously, anyone who spends 10k on this is seriously doing harm to the art world! I'm all for fun street art or illustrative prints but it is what it is... It isn't high art, it's a fun logo and it's in no way worth ยฃ10,000 I hope Imitate Modern are reading all this and realise how f**king ridiculous they're being? You're coming across like a proper bellend. At the end of the day the market will determine if the prices are correct.
