Rolex Collectors โ Buy & Sell, by jipsy on Nov 14, 2007 10:32:36 GMT 1, Not art related, sorry
I want to buy my good lady a quality timepiece for her Bday/Christmas/Anniversary this year. Does anyone know any reputable websites that sell these new at decent prices?
Not the right place to ask I know but I'm the Banksy lover not her.

BUT...and it's abig BUT
Rolex/Omega/Breitling and all the other big firms do not sell on the internet and do not want you to buy their products on the internet.
So all the watches you get will be from the Grey market, in no way fake, but may have serial numbers removed. You will only be able to get the watch serviced by the site you bought it from. the main dealers and brands wont touch it.
Joust something to bear in mind if your splashing ยฃ2k

Be careful buying from other places re fakes and way up the cost vs the risk if doing so.Women are vicious to each other if you buy a fake by mistake other women will hang her for it

I bought mine from Watches of Switzerland in the west end of London - and they also gave me a decent discount think it was about 15% - but I had the peace of mind to know that it was a real one and they are seldom found
Some of the new edition Tag's are nice especially the new Carrera

( looks nice too).

Rolex Collectors โ Buy & Sell, by jfury on Nov 14, 2007 12:24:14 GMT 1, Rolex - depending on what model you want depends on availability/price etc for example the Mens Daytona you can wait 3 years plus, you can buy one today if you wanted but you have to pay a premium for it - RRP ยฃ5K but expect to pay ยฃ6.5-ยฃ7K to get one today+. Again the Explorer 1 was ยฃ1.9K yet 4 years ago you would have to pay ยฃ2.5K to get one.
At Christmas there tends to be a massive shortage on watches especially the Steel ones - there is also a shortage on womens midsize watches (in between mens and womens size) as the fashion for women at the moment is either mid or full size rolexs so again causes obvious shortages - you maybe hard pushed to find a mid anywhere - but if you can go mid I would recommend that.
It is also worth checking out a reputable preowned and hard to find Rolex dealers such as David Duggan in Burlington Arcasde London www.daviddugganwatches.co.uk/. Also there are a number of Reputable Rolex dealers on Ebay.
You can get some really nice preowned watches 1 or 2 years old perfect condition (they look no different as fully serviced) and a nice saving to be made.
Providing you have a serial number and certificate you can get it serviced anywhere well in my experience anyway.
If you want to ask any specific stuff then let me know and I can try to help you out.

BONGO WOULD NOT PAY THAT FOR A PRINT
THE FETISHMENT OF COMMODITIES DOES INDEED PRODUCE SOME STRANGE OUTCOMES , WHERE A PREMIUM IS PAID FOR A PRODUCT THAT MAY NOT PERFORM AS WELL AS ITS PEER GROUP
UNTIL YEAR 2000, DAYTONAS DID NOT EVEN HAVE A ROLEX MOVEMENT.

Rolex Collectors โ Buy & Sell, by Richard on Nov 14, 2007 13:00:05 GMT 1, Go on google and type in 'Blowers Rolex'. They have a massive selection of unused preowned watches with fairly big discounts. Really good site even if you just want to see all the different styles side by side. You should be able to get a discount on a womens watch from any high street store if you act quickly, but come Christmas you won't. If it's mens sports watches...that's another story....
