Rolex Collectors ⌚ Buy & Sell, by anthonyvthc on Nov 14, 2007 17:55:23 GMT 1, Depending on your girl's tastes, I think Tag has a nice selection of watches for women, plus they are quite a bit cheaper than a Rolex. The flipside is that a Rolex is the only watch you can buy that will actually appreciate in value over time. Don't just be sold on the name though. Try to get a feel for the style she is looking for.

Spoke to a pal about his and he reckons it's not as bad a timekeeper as might be reckoned. Another pal swears by Panerai. I said 'Yeah, but James Bond didn't wear a Panerai...'

I have a Seadweller (with date) and it's has always been a piss awful timekeeper. Dig deep and get a Patek.

Seeing as it an Offically Certified Chronometre I am not sure why yours is not accurate. Why not send it back to Rolex? If it is not keeping the time they will sort it out for you no problems.

They are both pretentious brands that offer a serious lack of quality, I would go with Jaeger Le-Coulter or even better a fucking G-shock! I've got four from Japan and they are definately the fucking balls -- nothing better IMO!!!

My favorite watch (and one that I travel to Asia with) is a Nike Triax watch. Good for running (if you're into that kind of thing). The Omega is the first nice watch I've ever owned. I think I have a Seiko calculator watch somewhere!

Rolex Collectors ⌚ Buy & Sell, by spenie1975 on Nov 14, 2007 22:49:42 GMT 1, Got an Omega Seamaster 2 years ago off ebay, 1964 manual wind and a lovely watch. paid £ 78.00 for it, took it to a main dealer and was told to insure for £1000 replacement value. 100% genuine. Even sent the serial number to Omega and they dated the watch for me Worth a look. some bargains are to be had from there.

Rolex Collectors ⌚ Buy & Sell, by plymman on Nov 14, 2007 23:07:42 GMT 1, I'd definately recommend just going into shops. As has been suggested, you'll get 10-20% off without too much trouble, plus you'll get to try them on. I shopped around for my rolex but ended up buying locally anyway in the end, it may sound stupid but when you're spending out on a long term watch it has to feel right on the wrist.
BONGO - Mine loses about 1 sec per day, my seamaster loses 6!
