I really like this one too Coach! Definitely another one for me to check out. I am but a great suggestion. I’m beginning to establish quite a reasonable collection of his work but still some species and colours to go. I’m also keen to add one of his bigger pieces by commission at some stage soon.

Check it out... www.laurentcraste.com Really interesting work and another rabbit hole to fall down here I think. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

Looks like some cool collaboration pieces coming up if you look at his Insta. Maybe more spacemen.

I’m definitely going to pick up one of Johnson Tsang’s open edition planters from Avant Arte. They look tremendous. I’m not familiar with Clementine Bell so will check her out and thanks for the suggestion.

Collecting Pottery & Ceramics, by sandworm on Feb 10, 2022 18:39:45 GMT 1, I echo Akiko Hirai as mentioned previously, her work is becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of however and is receiving a lot of international acclaim. Some of her pieces were at Hauser and Wirth Somerset last year and I think they are up there with the best at featuring the best contemporary ceramic talent so always a good idea to keep an eye on their artists. Make - Hauser & Wirth Somerset
One artist I particularly like is a young Korean ceramicist Jae Jun Lee who is living and working in Wales. I was lucky enough to go and visit his studio at the end of last year and he is one of the most genuine and humble talents that I have met. His work focuses on simplicity and repetition which is testament to his meticulous attention to detail, to the extent he hand crafts his own tungsten carbide tools which themselves are a thing of beauty. I have a couple of his works and they bring joy to me daily.

Collecting Pottery & Ceramics, by mrizzle on Mar 24, 2022 21:48:42 GMT 1, Still finding myself really drawn to ceramics at the moment (despite the lack of correlation to urban art). Just received this Noelle Hoover wine cup today and I’m absolutely blown away by it in person. Standard incorrect customs fees, corresponding delays and issues were immediately forgotten once I saw it and held it.
I love form and functioning combining harmoniously in something as aesthetically beautiful as this. Only the small matter of the fact that I actually hate wine but I’m sure I can find something else alcoholic to swill from it.

Collecting Pottery & Ceramics, by Daniel Silk on Dec 4, 2022 10:17:13 GMT 1, I think collecting of Ornaments, Pottery has really gone out of fashion in the past few decades, but it feels that recently the popularity of Sculptures and especially the Kaws and Bearbrick type figures has engaged a new generation.

He has an online sale a couple of times each year (announced on IG), plus gallery shows. There are a few left at the moment. I have a couple of small pieces in this style., which I also like very much.
