TateWard โข Art Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by Coach on Mar 4, 2021 21:17:11 GMT 1, Well. I think it is the first time (correct me if I'm wrong) that some products from "GrossDomesticProduct" are auctioned in a house of moderate importance. That those who own items from GDP is good news.
I do think you are wrong. Wasnโt there a previous thrower sale?

New Banksy? Reading Prison , by Coach on Mar 4, 2021 20:15:04 GMT 1, Since I had no idea what this was all about I did some searching : The Ballad of Reading Gaol is a poem by Oscar Wilde, written in exile in Berneval-le-Grand, after his release from Reading Gaol (/rษ.dษชล.dสeษชl/) on 19 May 1897. Wilde had been incarcerated in Reading after being convicted of gross indecency with other men in 1895 and sentenced to two years' hard labour in prison. During his imprisonment, on Tuesday, 7 July 1896, a hanging took place. Charles Thomas Wooldridge had been a trooper in the Royal Horse Guards. He was convicted of cutting the throat of his wife, Laura Ellen,[1] earlier that year at Clewer, near Windsor. He was aged 30 when executed.[2][3] Wilde wrote the poem in mid-1897 while staying with Robert Ross in Berneval-le-Grand. The poem narrates the execution of Wooldridge; it moves from an objective story-telling to symbolic identification with the prisoners as a whole.[4] No attempt is made to assess the justice of the laws which convicted them, but rather the poem highlights the brutalisation of the punishment that all convicts share. Wilde juxtaposes the executed man and himself with the line "Yet each man kills the thing he loves".[5] Wilde too was separated from his wife and sons. He adopted the proletarian ballad form, and suggested it be published in Reynold's Magazine, "because it circulates widely among the criminal classes โ to which I now belong โ for once I will be read by my peers โ a new experience for me".[6]
Itโs probably also worth bearing in mind that Wilde wrote De Profundis whilst he was in prison at Reading Goal.

SOLD, by Coach on Mar 3, 2021 21:47:38 GMT 1, I picked this up from a forum member last month, but my wife isn't going to let me hang it --- whomp whomp! That said, I'm putting it up for sale in the hopes it goes to a good home.ย Print has a lot of hand-finishing and is numbered 2/140.ย Asking $1000 shipped / insuredย Payment via PayPal friends and family OR fees covered. I'm a long time member with lots of references.ย
Classic is a word often over used, but appropriate here I think.

Secret Santa , by Coach on Mar 3, 2021 21:45:04 GMT 1, To be honest I actually thought that they were taking the piss/being sarcastic with their initial post. Pretty shitty either way. You know her better than me anyway even if we shred the same hotel - not the room lol - atย Dismaland
I ve been always wrong on this forum when I had a dispute with her one here, so I shut up ( as now, you see I don't speak, not at all, I'm saying nothing ), Le clan.. I ve lost so many mates because of her as she has a lotย on here, WSM beach... Laz tenner, great street-artists gifted her..
She's so ... manipulative...
*Anyway Mason, We were friends before, I still don't know what happened with me. I've nothing against you
Let's twist again !
I know you have your issues with her, and I honestly donโt question the reasons for that one bit, but I do find it uncomfortable reading it being said several times, especially when she is rarely here to reply. I like Nordicstar very much. I get on very well with her. I know that she seems to have let people down this Xmas. But we donโt know why. I do hope she is ok. And LRoy, I still love you my friend. Donโt take this personally. I just wanted to give an alternative view.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Coach on Mar 2, 2021 14:35:12 GMT 1, They really should hire a quality assurance manager. It's annoying to pay 500 Euro of hard earned money for a poorly stitched mat. It's not rocket science, right? In addition, it'd be a shame if they'd apply dirt manually as it clearly would devalue the piece due to the lack of authenticity. Knowing someone might have drown in this very jacked which has been used for my welcome mat is heartbreaking and as the welcome mat is a brilliant conversation starter at dinner parties, it wouldn't feel right to tell my guests the background story, knowing the dirt is fake. It just would't feel right. I think you are lucky gods ultimate noise isn't hereย
I had assumed it was sarcasm.

Fin Dac ๐ฎ๐ช Finbarr Notte โข New Print Release , by Coach on Mar 2, 2021 12:11:42 GMT 1, I'm surprised by the lack of promotion and traction that this release is having/has had in the forum. I'm going for David Bowie main edition, fell in love with the meaning and explanation behind it, see http://instagr.am/p/CLi_ppUj1xS Keep in mind this is 1 of the only 2 print releases Fin will do this 2021! Good luck to everybody!
You might be interested to see this. This was a Magnum release quite some time ago. Second picture shows Rockโs signature on the reverse. Several photographs from the iconic photo shoot are also included in the Taschen Mick Rock Bowie book.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Coach on Feb 28, 2021 23:28:33 GMT 1, This is beautiful. Itโs great to see an old master shared on here. I had a very enjoyable chat with another member not to long ago about old paintings in our collections. Yours is superb. unfortunately it canโt be called from an โold masterโ in the traditional way. My parents restored it about 15 years ago, and the restorer said it seemed to be from spagnoletto school... so no master but the details makes no difference in beauty from a well known painter/master, I agree with you ย
Indeed, I use the term loosely; you knew what I meant. Beautiful nonetheless.

Bob Dylan , by Coach on Feb 27, 2021 3:08:31 GMT 1, Even as an ageing punk I recognise Bob Dylan as the greatest song writer ever. I thought it might be good to have a thread dedicated to our favourite Dylan songs, or rarities or other Dylan related things of interest. For me, itโs hard to ignore Tangled Up in Blue, Shelter from the Storm, Like a Rolling Stone and many others, but this remains my favourite

Maybe check the review mentioned by another member, my friend. My only experience was arranging a policy. No experience of making a claim to date (touch wood).
