Looking for Christian Rex van Minnen work on paper, by thesewalls on Sept 13, 2017 5:21:21 GMT 1, He is a beast!
If I may ask, why on paper? As I understand most of his paintings are created on canvas, linen and board. He does do monotypes on paper, maybe that's what you're looking for? If so I believe Gallery Poulsen is your best bet.
Good luck!

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by thesewalls on Jun 6, 2017 8:48:10 GMT 1, The medium is the message...the medium influences how the message is perceived...
Perhaps people were inspired to think that their vote is worth something...
Perhaps people were forced to think about politics on a local, national and international level...about influence and motivations...past, present and future...
It was fun to imagine prints of that image being mailed out to voters but did anyone really believe that to be the case?
Think of how often empty promises are made...by politicians, by advertisers, by the media...how often the news is wrong, misleading or (sigh) fake...
Hate it, love it, disregard it...whatever your position, it's limited to right now...
Look at the big picture and do something about it!
Or don't. But if you're not actually out there making a difference one way or another your opinion (vote) isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Andrew McAttee ๐ฌ๐ง Print Release โข Show News โข Art For Sale, by thesewalls on May 23, 2017 23:17:26 GMT 1, Love love LOVE this guy! His background in graffiti, transition to abstractions, eye for color, shape, space...vision! Forget about Hirts, McAttee is in a league of his own Imo one of the most slept on artists in the movement. I feel like he'd do well with the Graffuturism crew, although I'm sure he's doing fine wherever he's at! This piece is an absolute steal for someone local. If you change your mind and want to ship to NYC get at me. I haven't heard much from him recently . Do you know what he's been up to? I have an early original, that I remain very fond of. I don't.
Well done on the original!

Prints For Sale, Banksy, DFace, Insect, Eine, Dolk, by thesewalls on May 13, 2017 23:34:59 GMT 1, Was thinking that too, seems like he is doing it to get facebook followers This. That's my read on it at least. It's a stunt. 'Hmmmm I have all of these anonymous people on here, how can I build my business and turn them into real people over there?...Oooo I'll show off my art collection!' Not a bad idea. Petty and in poor taste but not a bad idea. Also homeboy is clearly out of touch, complaining about trolls lol have you been on the sales boards here before?! Maybe it's just a diversion. Either way it's entertaining. Anyone who is seriously trying to buy something, please let us know how it progresses. (popcorn eating emoji) GLWTS!

Maya Hayuk - what happened???, by thesewalls on Apr 20, 2017 0:43:32 GMT 1, Again, you're missing the point. I'm not even talking about her! (except where I said she's still doing her thing). You asked a question, I answered. You're green, I'm trying to make you brown Think of it this way...you asked what happened to a person...I said that person is fine and is living on. Then I offered my perspective based on your WAY of thinking. Happy trails. Hello, I wasn't the one who popped this question.๐ฌ You have your own opinion and I respect that. But to tell others they are missing out a lot by not being a fan of hayuk is a little overboard in my opinion. I am a big fan of parra, but I understand some people find his works hideous as s@&t as well. As you said, let the works speak for itself, and if it is any good, it will find its audience. A BIG AUDIENCE willing to pay for her worksno matter how much it cost. There are also millions of artists around the world to follow, so who's missing what? I hear you. Good points all around. Funny thing, I don't even really like Hayuk. Was just trying to make a point about how people view artists and the art market. The dramatic difference between art as creation and art as commodity.
I love Parra too. Haha that fucci guy tho I just don't know! Let's have a laugh at that together. Peace

Maya Hayuk - what happened???, by thesewalls on Apr 18, 2017 2:54:36 GMT 1, Nothing happened to her. If you don't love her anymore that's your loss. She's still doing her thing. The market is a fickle place. Don't let numbers/exposure/statistics define artists. All artists aren't businesses or brands. Perhaps your mind has been polluted by these commercial "artists". By auction results and petty judgements. Yes, you're missing something. You're missing a lot Try letting the art speak for itself. That might be a good place to start. X O X O You sure make her seem out-of-this-world good. Her works are... just alright, with hits and many misses. Again, you're missing the point. I'm not even talking about her! Fire Sale: Choe, Neate and Borondo for sale, by thesewalls on Feb 10, 2017 7:10:12 GMT 1, accepting suggestions on how to price it! I's say ยฃ2k easy. For full disclosure I own 2 so I might have some vested interest Both framed and on the walls before anyone accuses me of being greedy. Honestly I'm really not sure what the value is these days. Choe has been very quiet since he scored ยฃ200m from Facebook. He's been making a ton of noise recently! More with his band than with his brush, noise nonetheless

LONG SINCE SOLD, by thesewalls on Dec 25, 2016 7:43:09 GMT 1, Stunning print. AM's stock seems to have dropped over the past 2 years, God knows why as I consider him to be head and shoulders above 99.9% of any other artist on the planet.
Agreed. It's dropped because so many collectors see value in terms of market fluctuations and not quality of work. They pay attention to the hype & what's hot, not talent and what will last. Eye catching simplicity sells more than depth and substance. It still blows my mind that people buy artists like Chevrier, Whatson, Kunstrasen (just some recent examples no disrespect if you like them), as Micallef and many other original, soulful artists go mostly overlooked. It also doesn't help that Laz is a greedy b@stard and fooked up the market. But Micallef is still a force, and receives well deserved acclaim, just not really on this forum (or in the "urban art" market) anymore. Congrats to him! A true visionary!

* FUTURA *, by thesewalls on Feb 18, 2016 4:37:15 GMT 1, Well said mouser.
I can also vouch for him. He has personal relationships with NYC taste makers, people who have been contributing to the culture since it's formative years. We live in the same neighborhood. I was invited into his home, shown several paintings, noticed pictures of him alongside Futura, and with other known artists, musicians, designers, etc. He's the real deal.

David Choe Artwork, VALUATION, by thesewalls on Feb 11, 2016 7:42:04 GMT 1, The market for Choe's visual art is at best inconsistent, especially now that he's focusing a lot less on painting and a lot more on music. Right now it's worth maybe 1.5 - 3K ($). Just a guess. If he can make the move from cult hero back to art star sky's the limit, although I have a feeling he has zero interest in it.
His band is playing in Brooklyn on Easter Sunday FYI
