STOP โข Banksy Drone Stop Sign , by faute on Dec 28, 2023 22:54:13 GMT 1, Minecrafter,
I simply want to tell you that your messages make me sad.
As I understand, JPS had a turning point in 2009. Thanks to Banksy.
Now, he painted him naked and itโs like your life turn around Banksy and this Sotheby thing.
Canโt you be happy that your husband had a turning point in 2009 and go on building from there? Life is short.
I certainly have no right to advise you on life. Iโm no shrink. But, I want to be frank. I cannot be passive. Your messages touch me. Maybe, itโs a generation thing. Maybe, because your husband touched the bottom, came back, and itโs like he did not learn.
I hope you and your husband will find happiness and strength inside to build something and grow. Not related to Banksy or whatever.
To be the wife of someone who had a hard time and had the chance to rebound after seeing a Banksy exhibition. Which is so wonderful. And then be so negative. Itโs a tragedy. Itโs really sad. So wake up now, please. Your messages really touched me. Itโs simply why I react. I really donโt care about what you say about Banksy. Itโs how you say it given the circumstances I read on internet, which make me sad. Life is short. Stop. Peace. Love.
Ps: Iโm just an anonymous stranger unrelated to Banksy on a forum

Daylight robbery - Clown / Stowe / Banksy, by faute on Dec 14, 2023 12:34:55 GMT 1, [โฆ]I suppose this was inevitable. [โฆ] I hope that prints with a Qatari logo on them for less than half the price is still evitable. ๐

New Invader show in Paris, by faute on Dec 9, 2023 15:25:30 GMT 1, I tend to agree with Lroy. What is street credibility and do we confuse it with ยซ market credibility ยป here?
BANDO says It is actually really simple: The only true writers are those who steal or have stolen their paint and who are doing or have done illegal walls. Donโt get me wrong, once you have paid your graffiti dues, this โgenuineness,โ so to speak, can never be taken away. For example take Jonone. He has bombed NYC more than anyone back in the day. He was King of NY, and when you buy a Jon painting today you have all that graffiti blood, sweat and tears behind everything he does. It is a genuine piece of graffiti art, not some fake BS with no foundation.
So as long as you have paid your dues, you are real, and if you have not, you are a poser. I have nothing against people buying paint and doing only legal stuff. To each his own, but donโt call it graffiti. Call it by its true name: Street Art. www.mtn-world.com/en/blog/2023/10/03/there-are-too-many-graffiti-posers-an-interview-with-bando-the-parisian-pioneer/?topic=--graffiti
As a collector, I tend to disagree. You can be a true writer and sell a bad piece with no connection (to caricature you have 4 categories, connected with graffiti/street art and a great piece on its own, one or the other, or none). That make graffiti and street art, a different thing to collect.
This I like for example
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CtaSPQNJ83E It looks real. Like real people. Not trying to look cool. I donโt even know or care if legal. Heni prints did not change that to me. There were a lot of legends in Miami this week. But WTF. It did not look real to me.

Gerhard Richter ๐ฉ๐ช Abstract โข Contemporary Art โข New Relea, by faute on Dec 8, 2023 14:18:28 GMT 1, Sometimes, we need one thing to realize something is wrong. Or thatโs in contradiction to its own alignement. To me, it was the release of the signed books by Gerhard Richter and this print. It was a turning point. It disgusted me. I really felt that it was just about big MONEY. And thatโs about it. I think I will forget these big names in giant galleries. Congrats to them if they manage to put interesting things (not discussing the market and the money) in such an environment. I find the whole thing disgusting. But if this is true and itโs unsigned
If its really unsigned, unnumbered inkjet print then this would be pretty much an 8k$ poster? Feels a bit odd to have such a small edition without a signature
Iโm just amused. I stay. It would be so funny. (funny, but big hug to the many artists putting their heart and everything in what they do, who have trouble to make a living and have to see this bullshit)
I feel the market is due for a big correction. Not only in prices.

Gerhard Richter ๐ฉ๐ช Abstract โข Contemporary Art โข New Relea, by faute on Dec 31, 2022 8:29:55 GMT 1, I found one of those books, signed in a charity shop.edition of 800 What do you think is a proper evaluation of that book? Just curious to see if I overpaid.. Thanks. Do you have provenance for the signature? Normally, itโs an edition of 800 unsigned to my knowledge. I donโt have it and Iโm looking for Gerhard Richterโ artist books.
Very nice find. I'm looking for one. But I would prefer unsigned without strong provenance.

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by faute on Jul 3, 2022 0:25:13 GMT 1, Good luck with this sale. Who would want that? I can't believe that I bought some of their products...Being so naive at my age. I'm ashamed.
This is the worst piece of shit that I have seen in recent years. It just does not make any sense. It took them less than two years to finish what they started...

Simon Munnery, by faute on Mar 5, 2022 17:46:46 GMT 1, I recently rediscovered a dvd that I have, "IAMTV" by Simon Munnery from 2007. The portrait of Simon Munnery is sprayed. I always wonder who did the stencil and the spraypaint given the ties Banksy and him had in 2007. It's certainly wishfull thinking, since I don't have any element, I'm not a stencil expert and it could be by anyone. But, I'm still curious to simply ask the question here.
Does anybody know? Any chance?

You prefer the photocopies or the etchings on art paper?
Also, I'm curious about the hidden drawing.

Pasters: Looking for pasters, particularly by REVS, by faute on Oct 21, 2021 16:28:11 GMT 1, Thanks for the answers and inefficiencyof thank you to share your Meggs.
Here are the pictures of the BAST paste ups I have.
This one was in his first show at Mas Vino in 2003. Got it later from him. Sorry about the picture, the glass is reflective (I choosed a highly protective glass and got it reflective at the time)
The picture makes it look small (it's in the hallway), but it's normal size. First piece I bought and (so) my favorite. You can see the two colours with one screen BAST technique.
Marylin is on architectural plans. The only one I did not get directly from him.
I love this one. I'm pretty amazed and ashamed about myself it's not framed yet.

Pasters: Looking for pasters, particularly by REVS, by faute on Oct 20, 2021 6:34:25 GMT 1, Thanks. I will put pictures later on (I did not mean a collab by COST and BAST, only pasters by BAST and by COST). Here is the COST:

From BAST, I have a Golfpunk (a pink version), Ska-Spy, Telly Savalas and Marylin. And the COST WAS HERE that is more common on newsprint.
