Has this place changed? , by Deleted on Nov 7, 2015 7:16:57 GMT 1, Tbh, I don't really feel like posting much on here anymore.. Always the same silly arguments by the same people.. Reading between the lines here I am assuming you think Mother Theresa was a real slag and all 'Urban' art is rubbish?, not to mention what you said about Bambi.
People always argue, just console yourself with the thought that it is their problem and they should see that you are right, works for us here.

Has this place changed? , by Deleted on Nov 7, 2015 8:42:03 GMT 1, I'm not too sure where you are coming from LRoy as json and many others continue to post on here I believe this forum has been very good to you - especially Over the past few months but you clearly aren't happy - if there are genuine issues then get in touch oh ! I am extremely Happy and this forum has Been very good with me ! I never said the contrary, I just tried to clarify and correct, after Dismaland, some little things with a very very very few members ( few is not all the forum , and when I post on IG, I tag often the, your, forum - I made a video too, from my trip that AP and members has offered, to thank all of you - even if the music is a bit s**tty - and I will thank mates with great drawings , as promised. Anyway, I have clarified in pm, some things with another member, so, now it is over. I just think that the things are just to go in now and even if I can understand friendship and more affinities with some members - normal things in a forum - , and I don't want to be deleted because of this or that, because of him or her etc .. If I did not like this forum anymore why I would stay here ? ! I know that I have strong friendships here, and nobody will destroy them, for personnal or different reasons. I lost some friends, I am not stupid, it's easy to don't read a comment here, you just have to click in the right button, but I think - because I trust human and love - that it will come back again. ! For Json, we are not blind 11, he was a lot posting here before, and he told us , days ago, and if I am not wrong, that - because of this or that ( I won't enter in discussions or details ), that he was not often anymore here ... Plip and Coach still make the show , in live and direct , and we can thank them ! Iris rare to see them in the sales threads etc ... Well, last thing, it is very very hard and difficult to speak English for me, so sorry if sometimes I am writing shorts and comprehensive posts :-) It will be better ... Cheers. I'm still here Roy

Has this place changed? , by love on Nov 7, 2015 9:26:02 GMT 1, I barely come to UAA anymore due to the censorship. You can't even talk about the NBF, because the name is censored. Censorship on the internet is stupid. Directly advocating censorship on the internet is stupidity. This forum is used to flip the art, like eBay... not to discuss it, because you have to be afraid of getting banned.

Censorship as in removing stuff!?!? That doesn't happen HERE - nor does it happen over and over again - you'd think some places were run by North Korea with the sht that is made up
And as for NBF - don't even get me started. Some of the things that people have said / suggested the last few days have made my jaw hit the floor. I'm happy to let them get on with their 'thing' in blissful ignorance - you know where they are so if you think its better then crack on

Block option works wonders IMO i am not agree with this block option ( even in French Fora, English Fora, social media , etc etc .. . I learned a lot ( and as I read up, some have few accounts - they should be out - or they still can create a new one , posting with another IP address) about it - I was not guilty anyway but some members in wellknown fora about photo or art, was real trolls and had mount accounts. The function : " don't read the messages " is really stupid and not fair. We have balls and are in democracy and should be able to defend our point of view and/or argue. For a moderator or guardian, don't read all the posts could be a fault or an ineptness. It is also very vex sting and impolite. That's only my point of view and if you don't like somebody just don't read his messages, no need to block them, I mean to make them invisible... But, I understand too this function : the Block button is good when there is insults, when people are trolling, when this is racist, antisemit, only hates and threats of death etc.. Anyway these men or women should be banned not invisible. Invisible people are dangerous ..
In fact the block button should be activate only when there is conflicts between two persons. Not more. Thank you.

Ehm..yeah? I love to show pictures, a picture sure do tell more than thousands words, at times i upload a pic on my insta and then post through that here, but i don't feel comfortable with that system, so it always ends up in me deleting the pic after a while. Its really not that hard. Here are 3 different options:

I dont have time for it,nor do I want to read it or even see it for that matter. There are other guardians on here that will 'see' it and deal with it accordingly.

No mate, went last weekend. Good show and the film is great.
Couldn't be fucked to start a thread on it as he has nothing to flip so would have received no comments, just look at the Ai Wei Wei thread or the JR book thread where there was something for sale.

There will be a mix of money making promoting hyping cetain artsist and vested interests and and control of the forum in a certain way.
Plus today it seems anyone who has an opinion other than the mainstream is not liked.

Bambi is like a celebrities entourage who tells the celebrity they are great.
Maybe thats what some people need. A subversive left wing social message while spending their hard earned 9 to 5 wages on a print.
Everyone likes you NordicStar.

Has this place changed? , by met on Nov 11, 2015 8:53:24 GMT 1, A forum is defined by its audience. We don't have less street art, if anything there is more non permissioned street art now than there was 10 years ago because there is greater tolerance (in certain areas only perhaps) and the awareness of how to do street art has increased dramatically. You the audience don't seem that interested in it though. By the way - it's not just this forum to be fair, in places like flickr the exchange of information and the culture of comment and exchange has also disappeared. I blame instagram. "like" = dialogue redux. I assume you mean dialogue reduction, not dialogue redux, and I do agree with you โ at least when it comes to social media (which I personally distinguish from forums and blogs).
With its pace of immediacy, character limits and pithy culture, social media just isn't conducive to sharing nuanced views or insights. Even less so if comments are deemed dissentient, commercially unhelpful, or perceived to be otherwise at odds with the interests of the relevant account holder.
When platforms like Instagram, Twitter or Facebook are tightly controlled and used by artists, dealers or publishers primarily for advertising and PR, what you commonly get is a collective effervescence of supporters, enthusiasts and sycophants. Genuine debate is often quashed or drowned out in the process. There is no room or patience for it, and the scope for the expression of varied opinions is consequently narrowed. We end up with an artificial, creepy, Stepford-Wives-like conformity. Whether it's through:
(i) censorship (like posts being swiftly deleted or users blocked by social media account-holders for comments considered off-message); or
(ii) self-censorship (including hesitation in challenging or putting forward opposing perspectives, for fear of rocking the boat, being blocked, or being seen as a downer or troublemaker),
the first victims are free speech, proper discussion and heterogenous viewpoints.
It's one of the reasons why I still appreciate and use forums. At their best โ when only very-lightly moderated โ they remain independent bastions for the online open exchange of information and ideas.
A forum is defined by its audience. I am agree with met, and the free speech, and all his message... Fora don't change, it's a platform, only people changes... Because one time, or too many times ( for people too much posting) , there was some vexations, bad mood, angryness, misanderstanding, jealousy, or a bad or clumsy word, etc... Even on an art forum ( I stil don't understand this button to hide the comments anyway, we are not vermins, and eyes can zap the indelicated posts, it could be an intersting thing to read, etc etc ) Then, as a mud (Removed), it could be quick, and the best friend could be the best NME... Life... Then I can come back again etc... We all know that most fo the disease of Internet could be paranoรฏa ( normal way, we are all hidden behind a computer ) .. Tireness too... ( speaking of recurrent subjects ) ... When people meet them together, they are not the same and could be cool - if they are honest of course. A forum just don't be as Gunfight at the O.K. Corral , nor a teeppe with too much babacool smoking weed... Just existing, exchanging. The only thing to condamn is the multiple accounts, it is not fair. Peace.

Maybe it needs two categories.
One called " The Market Place " ,where people galleries dealers etc can post and hype and big up and promote and sell any art or artist they want.
and another category called , "Art Talk", where people talk about art without being allowed to hype or sell it.
Anyway Roy, as long as you havent changed thats the main thing.
Although there are rumours that you are really Mr Brainwash without the beard.
Were you in a film once with Jane Fonda? .............Dr Duran Duran

Has this place changed? , by tab1 on Nov 11, 2015 22:30:11 GMT 1, Think people forget it's a forum a melting pot of different people , different backgrounds and views ,taste in art and thoughts
People view Images and. interpret differently and some people struggle to acknowledge differing opinions and simple discussions can turn into a rant .
Some people get annoyed if there are differing opinions
Some print shops use this platform as advertising and Alls fine with positive praise the slightest indifference and the spoilt brat comes out.
Should be here to gain knowledge , share information and a bit of fun banter and get a heads up on the next new release ;-)

Has this place changed? , by far-cue on Nov 11, 2015 23:30:55 GMT 1, Changed - fuck me not half - the place is full of arse kissers - they send their generals over to troll and you lock the thread to protect them
Ok so when exactly is this print going to materialise - its a fucking charity print, everyone is screaming for stik and he will sell it when 'He's ready' - its not his property to decide, donated by the artist to raise money for the Appeal
ITS FOR FUCKING CHARITY!!
