Graffiti Prints customer service., by Morfx on Mar 4, 2017 22:01:57 GMT 1, Look on this which way you will..
Received a Dinged print...
Yes, it's the Whatson variant..
I asked a question which (doing my due diligence on edition numbers) thought I should...
GP feel free to put across your views...
All I asked is what will happen to the print I return (if it's going to be restored, then you will have to change the number, is this why they are numbered in pencil?)
Then they retracted there offer of an exchange and will only refund me..
Great way to do business....
Email chain below..... (these should be in order, please refer to email times pictured)
Missed a page...

To be fair, you maybe should have been quiet after wendy told you they would replace it.
Why would they need the coa back when they could just print another one? Its not like your coa could be sold or sent with your new one. Of course they have some held back, for this exact reason. There is always damages on every print run.
To be fair on giancarlo, there was no need to post the email thread either as he should not need to keep defending himself. He could quite easily just f**koff the forum completely and carry on regardless leaving alot of people on here without a good contact / knowledge for collectors.
You were lucky to win that print, many missed out. Thats you done then for any future sales or lottery!

Graffiti Prints customer service., by tartarus on Mar 4, 2017 22:49:34 GMT 1, To me it seems like a crazy response from gp. But hey its their business so they can treat clients as they wish. Id rather people were asking me questions i didnt want to answer than walking away from my business due to my attitude to their questions. Gallery ethics are quite fucked up it seems though.
Morfx only asked the question what would happen. Its not like he said "oh so youll be renumbering and selling a restored print will you". He was polite in what he asked, which is more than can be said for GP.

Graffiti Prints customer service., by sin on Mar 4, 2017 22:55:36 GMT 1, If the question is, are they making new prints?
The answer is no, they likely did over run in order to cover damage caused by shipping. Rather standard practice.
The question about numbering seems valid, but nuanced, if they remove the numbering from the damaged print, and redo number on your print, that seems reasonable to me. as long as there arent two xx/yy out there then its clear. that wasnt clearly outlined from what i saw, but my .02 is i dont think there is anything nefarious going on, just misunderstanding.
the tone of the customer service communication does seem off.

Agreed... All I wanted was an explanation of what would happen.. Which I never got..
This now makes sense..

Graffiti Prints customer service., by Deleted on Mar 5, 2017 0:52:05 GMT 1, I have a simple basic rule of not wanting to do business with any company that doesn't uphold the highest standards of communication with it's costumers. GP doesn't seem to meet those standards when lashing out like this on a simple question.

Graffiti Prints customer service., by Happy Shopper on Mar 5, 2017 1:13:33 GMT 1, Is it just me, but is the offending email missing? I see GPs agro response twice, but not the question... Just my phone??
What I find more odd though is what GP were going to do with this damaged print. It's numbered wrongly and damaged... Wouldn't a gallery just destroy it? Why restore it when they have blanks for this purpose? Which you'd expect to also be destroyed once editions are finished... which begs the question, what do GP usually do with their blanks?

Yeah I don't see it either. Maybe the original poster is hiding something and those saying he didnt insinuate anything are wrong. Hopefully he posts it and proves us wrong.
All great questions about GP process that could use answers.
Maybe they restore and it becomes a blank in case of other damage?

Graffiti Prints customer service., by wisky on Mar 5, 2017 2:14:36 GMT 1, I was also lucky enough to have won an MW Landscape variant on the GP lottery to which I feel very privilidged, as there were thousands of people who would of appreciated owning this print.
The print is amazing 'in the flesh' and was taken to my framers today......
I can not understand your reasons as to why you felt the need to post a private conversation between yourself and GP and question GP's integrity when GP had promised you a replacement for your damaged print!
GP could of accused you of causing the damage, but instead offered you an immediate replacement!
At this point, maybe you should of balanced out the inconvieniance of returning a print with the joy of owning such a print.
My print was wrapped superbly and securely with the tube clearly marked "Open this end!".
I also can not understand the witch hunt against GP, they do not deserve this onslaught from forum trollers.

Graffiti Prints customer service., by NYart on Mar 5, 2017 3:08:00 GMT 1, Seems like it'd make sense to just number the 'blanks' AP/PP #/# and issue COAs accordingly for replacements. If a piece from the edition is damaged repair it and sell it as its numbered or oh well no more #19/50. While I don't see in this case re numbering or erasing/repairing the damaged print is anything nefarious, it does raise questions that could've been easily avoided with straight forward editioning of said blanks.

Graffiti Prints customer service., by The Fool on Mar 5, 2017 3:38:56 GMT 1, There is 100% a message that you sent to GP that you left out of the messages above because it is slightly visible you saying "Thanks for the information. To be honest..." and then who knows what you said to him when he goes off.
He offered you a replacement up front without asking any questions and you came back with a stupid question. You should have just been happy and taken the replacement.
Also - posting personal conversations trying to out someone is some really lowlife shit. How about you post the image of the last message you sent him before setting him off.

What are you trying to point out here? That he clearly stated when selling a print that it had "Dirty Marks" and also donated 25% to charity. What is wrong with that? When they sold that batch on eBay they almost sold 40 prints donating anywhere from 25% to 100% on some.

He was offered a replacement without any qualms and that should have been the end of it but oh no, he's an "expert" and isn't happy with just that. And to prove how much of a dick he is he is he is posting it all on here. It's almost like he is looking to cause upset with GP I'd have told him where to go as well.

They helped me out with a COA in the past, this was faultless,
I never picked up on any attitude, except a positive one.
Just sayin, no worries
