My Stencils!, by BK83 on Feb 5, 2007 4:14:00 GMT 1, O.K. I've got Photoshop CS2 so it might be a bit different, but lets say you've got the image to A2 in size, so you want it printing on your A4 printer in quarters. To print part of an image Use the Rectangle Marquee tool to select the part of an image you want to print. Choose File > Print With Preview, select Print Selected Area, and click Print. is that what you wanted to achieve?
I thought the print marquee tool worked only with illustrator -- I did not know there was a print marquee tool in photoshop ....? correct me if i'm wrong.

My Stencils!, by Run Pig Run on Feb 5, 2007 18:55:21 GMT 1, this is exactly what you do (with most photoshops)
file > print preview
untick 'center image' in the postion box
type in size you want your image i.e. H = 45cm in the 'scaled print size' box
with the cursor drag the picture in the left-hand (A4) box to the postion you want to print.
print
drag the picture over so you can print the second bit and so on.
sellotape, cut and spray.

My Stencils!, by Ripper1331 on Feb 13, 2007 22:49:40 GMT 1, Thanks - still doing work but it's more of a hobby and I do sell it. I'm just starting to work on screenprinting at the moment.
Not much for painting outside but I'm big into stickers.
Working out of LA and here's the website
www.craptastica.com
And check out the www.VinylKillers.com link also - both Eelus and Dolk contributed in the first one - picked up a shat-at on vinyl for $20 before he was super famous.

Well impressed, how much does the vinyl sell for? Keep us posted on news about screenprints.

My Stencils!, by Ripper1331 on Feb 15, 2007 9:21:37 GMT 1, It's a good start! I've been working on stencils for over 4 years and you have start somewhere.
Some basic tips:
repositional spray adhesive - cuts down on the underspray Bridges - don't have to look like bridges, blend them into the design Last layer - if doing a multi-layered stencils the last layer should be able to stand on it's own Multi-layered - explore it but realize that being able to get a message across with 2 layers is much harder than anything else. Learn to use it and then revert back to basics.
I have some process pics I'll post if you think it would help
ratpack - Enzyte is this "grow it big" pill they sell in the US - he's the LA version of David
I have to say that mine are pretty damn shoddy in comparison.. Here are my first two. Let me just say that it's early days!

CLICK ON PICTURE TO ENLARGE 50x70 cm red, black, white gloss the stencil started to curl up like a bastard while I was spraying it - bit of underspray which is annoying. stencil ruined (in bin)

My Stencils!, by hungrig on Mar 21, 2007 1:39:56 GMT 1, bombhugger,
I very much like your 'Love' painting. Great colours. Is this based on a photograph you took?
Is the woman holding up a cocktail glass in her left hand? Although it may not work as well, you could also alter the image slightly so that she is trying (unsuccessfully) to hide the rifle behind her back.
The man certainly does have a large foot!
