Christie's Art Auctions , by saint on Sept 23, 2020 12:57:02 GMT 1, 400k hammer for the GWRB at the moment. Sorry, the GWPB. You don't seem to understand how auctions work. The auction hasn't ended, so no hammer price yet. Thats why I said "at the moment".
It was similar to posting a 'what the buyer pays now' comment, including fees... I was just not including the fees.

Christie's Art Auctions , by saint on Sept 23, 2020 12:51:28 GMT 1, does anyone know the condition report on the HC? The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description: - the full sheet - a few very minor and unobtrusive scuffs in the matt-black (only visible in a raking light) - on the reverse two handling marks are visible at the lower left and lower right sheet edges in the margins (not visible on the front) Otherwise as described and in very good condition. This work is sold unframed.

Christie's Art Auctions , by saint on Sept 23, 2020 11:09:17 GMT 1, Side by side I reckon the LA morons is the nicest variant of that edition, interesting that it's lagging behind the others. I just read all the condition reports and the LA Morons is not in the best condition: 6cm vertical crease in the left margin, tape marks on the back and sold framed, maybe why it is a bit cheaper. After a dry mounted LIITA sold so high, and a NOLA that had been cut down 6cm in height and width sold so high, I don't think condition matters so much to some people.....

Banksy + Clown Skateboards, by saint on Sept 22, 2020 16:39:06 GMT 1, Anyone else planning on stretching the t shirt over a canvas frame and making themselves a screen printed edition on canvas? Me neither, I'm just surprised no one has done so yet and put it in auction the way things are going, someone will buy it..... I'm currently wearing mine, its a bit long tbh, I think my wife could wear it as a dress but then she's quite short. Now what kind of idiot would do that ? ? ? Some people......
Fair enough

Proof of ownership??, by saint on Sept 22, 2020 10:14:44 GMT 1, Not sure what proof of ownership you can have? You painted someone’s wall, good work by the way! Tag it, take lots of process pics etc. Keep it up! More people should paint walls rather than going straight to the trying to sell canvases with badly done stencils route. Kudos Thx By proof of ownership, if my piece become as popular as banksy :-) , how can i prove that i was the artist who did it. Are there ways to copywrite my work? Thank you very much
In my experience there are few artists who will claim responsibility for someone else’s work, perhaps the odd toy being an exception, but they are soon shown to be liars based on their other pieces. Stencils is a touch harder, people can use the same source image as you and a question of biting will be raised, see the gagnon/banksy praying boy image for example, and obviously so many are done in the style of banksy that identity mistakes are made, for example jps and banksy...... If you have a strong piece and other pieces which are equally strong then you will get known, no need to worry about it imo, just keep it up and paint walls.
Again, lots of pics will help.
There was recently a case of street artists campaigning against boohoo for shooting adverts in front of street art without permission from the artists, but I’m unsure as to the legalities of it all, or the outcome I’m afraid.

Banksy • Monkey Parliament Poster, by saint on Sept 22, 2020 7:17:13 GMT 1, It’s desirable because it’s one of his strongest images and it’s actually not that common to find a good one. Also it’s now the only Banksy print for under £20k or more.
I think the soup cans poster is still under 20k..... although I haven’t checked pricing this morning.
It’s a great image, gonna be even more apt after today I would think, let’s see what the monkeys decide and announce later.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by saint on Sept 21, 2020 16:51:07 GMT 1, The A/P's of the soup can are the original colourway, but as with the coloured editions, all editions of 10 Ah, okay. So you have #6 , #6 and AP #6 as an example. Nice! Well, since we are in the super rich category buyers now.... Which are usually : in finance in real estate in bitcoins or internet geeks Who all most likely have a thing for numbers. So selling them together as a matching numbers set could bring a premium. Only drug lords might not be inclined to go the extra mile then.... Could be a expensive gamble though. Selling separately would be the safe way to go. Listing them separate in the same auction would work: if 1 bidder gets the first 2 he will go crazy to get the AP as well. I realise I'm not really helping here, but it's an interesting dilemma. And a nice problem to have.
Although if you have 6, 6 and 6 I would split them.

Street art and fund managers , by saint on Sept 21, 2020 8:27:36 GMT 1, if it really happens that Banksy deliberately sinks the market maybe flooding it with prints, it would be like the end of the FIGHT CLUB movie, I would watch from the sofa eating popcorn 🤣 I see myself as the Meatloaf character. I still have testicles but my tits are bigger than his post-lockdown.
Lol.

Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by saint on Sept 20, 2020 22:37:24 GMT 1, Most of the Banksy's are consigned directly to me and exclusively thru me, not thru any other gallery. As Always all Inquires will be considered. The LIITA and Girl With Balloon did not sell, they where just pulled from the market due to the insanity. The Dumbo is still available as is the CND, FLAGS, GRANNIES, LAUGH ON, BANSQUIAT, PAX BRITTANICA a bunch of emphera and a fat stack of Tenners with Letters. Thanks for the interest, as always love the comments
‘Laugh on’ is one of his best imo, a bit like laugh now but more suggestive.

It’s like a kumquat I think, but less tart.
