New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by sin on Jun 4, 2017 17:02:26 GMT 1, With all due respect You have to be pretty f**kingdumb to get killed here. I nominate the above from sin for the most Stupid F*cking comment ever posted on this forum. Really dumb crossing a bridge or an 8 year old girl going to a pop concert. W@nker. My point you troglodyte is to get killed here in the US (outside of a terrorist attack) you have to be rather stupid. of 1000 murders 500 are suicide 50 are crimes of passion, 400 are gang related urban core violence. So 50 are due to murder. Getting killed in the US requires being stupid.
I wasnt calling the poor children who got killed (because you fucking pussies cant protect your women and children) dumb. A fucking knuckle dragging asshole walked into a fucking concert (where nobody had a fucking gun) and evicerated little kids. Others dove over a little kid in another country. All the while you pieces of shit are playing "dont look back in anger' and investigating people for being Islamaphobic.

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by sin on Jun 4, 2017 16:40:46 GMT 1, 1. Politically I think this is stupid. 2. Love the image, actually think it was oddly ironic since London has fallen. 3. If anyone has more than one when its all said and done and wants to sell one for a reasonable cost, I (as im sure everyone here, is a buyer) 4. If you currently live in the UK, France or South Africa and want to escape the attacks against western culture, and need a place to stay. I have a 2 houses in Florida, you are welcome to stay, no cost, for as long as you wish. A nice gesture but you've got a much greater chance of being killed in Florida than you have in London. So no thanks With all due respect
You have to be pretty fucking dumb to get killed here. While Orlando is a clear example of Terrorism (I was in Orlando at the time), we rarely have terrorist attacks. Stay out of urban cores, specifically outside of places like Overtown in Miami and you chance of getting killed is super rare.
Murder in Florida 1100 per 20,000,000 80% of the murders in the Florida are directly related to urban core violence.
Murder in the 3 places I own homes, per year. 1 In Boca 2 in Gainesville 5 in Sarasota
Terrorist attacks, zero.
So, while America gets shit for its gun culture.
Of all the gun deaths
50% are suicide Of the remaining 50%, 80% are directly related to urban core gang violence. So of 30,000 gun deaths 15,000 are suicide 12,000 are places you will never go (south side of Chicago, West New York, South Central LA) So 3000 gun deaths per year that are straight up murder.
While 50% of us are likely apologist pussies, 50% of us aren't and are trying to protect western culture and values.

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by sin on Jun 4, 2017 16:13:15 GMT 1, Sorry to get all political guys, but my god when is enough enough? I left the U.K. for America in 93. I returned for holiday in 2007. I was blown away at how it's changed. during the changing of the guard I got into a heated argument with an extremist who is telling me not to take photos with my family because they were protestingโฆ I told him to f**koffโฆhe didn't like that and started yelling at me. I'm all for diversity and love cultures of all sortsโฆ But this is ridiculous and too much. Your politicians aren't protecting you guys as they should. That's their number one priority and job yet they are failing you. Unfortunately, ensuring safety for those good people such as yourselves often means inconveniences for other good people Saying 'enough is enough' and things aren't working is the easy part. What do you think should be done?
Unpopular opinion warning
1. End Wahabbism in western countries (all islam isnt to blame, but Wahabbism is to blame) 2. End US foreign policy, remove all aid, and bases from Muslim countries. Stay the fuck out of their business. 3. Eliminate the flow of revenue to Saudi Arabia (and any other nation supporting Wahabbism), focus on domestic energy production, plummet the value of oil. 4. Meet all violence with intense response and no surrender. Leave nothing. 5. Deport any Wahabbist sects and their adhernent from your nations. 6. Kill the family of every terrorist. The parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, cousins, of the Manchester and London bomber should be killed. This way those that know understand the punishment of not notifying authorities.

Uncontainable | Urban Art Exhibit, by sin on May 12, 2017 18:39:08 GMT 1, We've gotten everything in place and here is our press release. If anyone happens to travel through Orlando, Jacksonville, or Tallahassee on business (or pleasure) over the summer. We are a short drive from any of those locations.
For folks like us who have likely seen it all, the real draws I think are
The Elbow Toe piece I post on here from time to time. An original woodblock from Swoon (which was in her recent show at Alouche) and a Revok from my collection from his assemblage period. Early prints and stencils from Shepard Fairey A great Doze Green piece A never before exhibited Michael Reeder being done specifically for the show. A never before exhibited Juan Travieso being done specifically for the show. As large spray of Logan Hicks Bowery Wall piece as well as some gems from Etam Cru, more Michael Reeder, and Evoca 1.
Hope you have a chance to join us, we are open from June 9 - September 9

Swoon - Snow Blossoms Print, by sin on Apr 18, 2017 20:14:58 GMT 1, Yeah, I share that opinion. It feels mailed in and I wont make the mistake again. LSC is usually a quality shop but these are the only time I have purchased a hand finished piece and felt like I paid more and got less.

Here is mine.
I'll conur with Freezy. I think the print work is great. The hand finishing adds nothing, and for the first time I think I would have been happier with the standard addition.

You've got ยฃ25,000 what do you buy? , by sin on Apr 18, 2017 17:34:51 GMT 1, so today thats like 30K US. my general answer would be, buy what you love. however, if you are concerned about value. While invader is on a climb right now, im betting he has far to go, so still safe bet. I think Vhils is under valued and has a lot of potential. Anything by Shepard is a really safe bet. I think Michael Reeder is really under valued and he's got a great future ahead of him (fair disclosure I own a bunch) Juan Travieso, I cant say what I know, but what I know is big. Ron English I think is a safe buy. Never heard of Michael Reeder nor Juan Travieso... otherwise, great post, thanks ! Not sure Invader will reach higher points... Price will stabilize. I foresee next big increase at death Ron English, a safe buy, really ? I have been following him since the beginning and I though he was an artist like any other (reason why he is a safe buy). Totally agree on Shepard... I was astonished by prices at HA auctions for Fairey prints (yep guys 1200 to 2500 USD for standard 450 edition sold on April 10 - www.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=0+790+231&Nty=1&Ntt=fairey&Ntk=SI_Titles&ic4=OtherResults-ViewAll-071515 ) 25k, I will buy cheap OG from new artists (Aaron Johnson first because not only the art is great, the media and the technic used to produce art is astonishing - "reverse painted acrylic polymer peel")... And a Fairey or Faile Michael is late emerging, but has a show coming up at Thinkspace. The work has been on a steady trajectory, refining his vision further, and exploring surface in way that are exciting. Really affordable at the moment.
Juan has done a NY solo that sold well, all be it with a lesser known gallery, he has a solo coming up in LA (which I can talk about), he has two other international HUGE projects coming (that I cant talk about). Juan has some heavy hitter collectors that arent in the street genre, that have been snagging up his work since before he finished up his MFA.
Invader clearly has room. Multiples particularly are under valued.
Ron is totally a safe bet. Established collectors, an icon that is highly regarded in multiple movements. Not to be morbid, but Ron is also getting up in age. His shows sell really well he has great auction records.
I concur with you on Faile

ART โข What's your Prized Possession?, by sin on Apr 13, 2017 14:27:05 GMT 1, This question has gotten harder to answer over the years, but the answer is still the same. Brian Adam Dougalas A Sort of Homecoming That's a sensational piece, the sort of work I could happily look at every day.. It's one of his collage works isn't it? I've a painted piecebut would very much like to acquire one of the collage pieces some day..
Thanks for the kinds words. It is a collage piece. It's a real joy. Brian still does these on commission.

Graffiti Prints customer service., by sin on Mar 4, 2017 22:55:36 GMT 1, If the question is, are they making new prints?
The answer is no, they likely did over run in order to cover damage caused by shipping. Rather standard practice.
The question about numbering seems valid, but nuanced, if they remove the numbering from the damaged print, and redo number on your print, that seems reasonable to me. as long as there arent two xx/yy out there then its clear. that wasnt clearly outlined from what i saw, but my .02 is i dont think there is anything nefarious going on, just misunderstanding.
the tone of the customer service communication does seem off.

Retna โข Say My Name, So You Can See Me , by sin on Mar 4, 2017 1:18:50 GMT 1, Retna beat up his girl. Michael Jackson molested kids.
I jam the f**kout to Thriller. Doesn't mean I'm down with kid touching. If someone wants to own a Retna. Doesn't mean they are down with beating women. Art is not the artist. Some of Hitler's watercolors arent bad. Kidding, his watercolors suck.
Oh and these (at least mine) shipped today. I'll send some money to SPARCC to offset.

20 Female Street Artist you should know, by sin on Feb 28, 2017 18:34:16 GMT 1, I love how this list proves my point of why most female street work is weak. Girls, painting girls, its self indulgent drivel. Art needs to bleed and this stuff is as safe as it gets (for the most part).
Whats worse is when its all idealized female imagery. Literally not risk. People like pretty pictures of women. Its craft at best, not art.
Of this list Julia Volchkova Faith47 Miss Van Swoon
are the only ones really worth talking about.
Yes I left off Herakut, and Nathalia Rak as Herakut has been fucking boring as shit lately, rehashing the same visual language with no real exploration. Nathalia's palate is interesting, but it still feels like a less good Bezt, which is a shame.
Of these 4, there is one constant theme, honesty. These works seek to communicate something other than pretty pictures on walls, the artists work both in the street and studio takes risks and isnt trying to pander to the easily digestible. The rest of this is throw away.

Digard Auctions โข Invader Exclusive Auctions โข PARIS ๐ซ๐ท , by sin on Feb 28, 2017 18:23:56 GMT 1, Some nice results in there. Cant fathom that those small Bezt pieces are moving for that rate, but thats great news. That swoon coming in above estimate is nice to see, particularly as that piece has made the rounds.
